Twenty minutes later, I was standing in front of Melody’s apartment door and it was too late to realize what a stupid idea that was, because I already knocked on the door.

Melody’s best friend –I assumed- opened the door, narrowing her eyes at me when she saw me. I felt slightly uncomfortable with the way she checked me out, not in a sexual way, but more like a doctor examination, “You must be Kellan,” she finally said.

“And you must be Rebecca,” I answered with the same manner.

“Kellan?” I heard Melody’s voice behind Rebecca, “What are you doing here?” she added, coming closer to the door. She looked so cute with her grey onesie with unicorns on it.

There was one cliché answer I could give “I was passing by…” I shrugged, “I’m sure,” Rebecca snorted and went back inside, leaving us alone.

“Would you like to come in?” Melody asked.

“Actually, yeah, I would love to.”

“Really?” she asked, her eyes got big, making me chuckle.

“To be honest, I wasn’t passing by. My house felt so…” I trailed off, wasn’t sure why I brought this up.

“Lonely?” she offered, looking at me with understanding, adoration, concern, and the most familiar one –desire.

“Yeah… I thought maybe you wouldn’t mind keeping me company,” I smirked, taking one step closer into her personal space. Her smell surrounded me –vanilla and fig, innocent and exotic… just like her.

“That depends on what I’ll get out of it, Mr. Hawke,” she teased, blushing as she said that.

I pulled her to me, wrapping my arms around her thin waist, letting my hands fell to her ass.

How I wanted to fuck that ass?!

“What if I said you wouldn’t regret it? That you’ll get some orgasms out of it? Would you let me sneak into your room?” I asked, nuzzling her neck, loving the way her breathing got faster.

“Is that all?” she teased me, her voice was already husky. I could feel her body heat up in my arms.

“What if I promise a good trip tomorrow? To somewhere I’m sure you’ll like?” I offered. A part of me was shocked I made the offer, but the other part of me felt right.

“Come in,” she smiled.

The balloons got my attenti

on, “Celebrating something?” I asked.

“Yeah, the music academy work. It is my first real job,” she mumbled before changing the topic, “Are you hungry? Becca makes the best pizza you’ve ever had.”

“I could eat some,” I told her. She was moving around nervously, I couldn’t help but watch her.

“Please, take a seat. Make yourself at home,” Rebecca said to me. I forgot she was there.

“You have a nice place,” I murmured.

“It’s small, not like yours,” Melody came back into the room, sitting next to me, “No, it’s really cute,” I protested. The room was cozy and decorated simply but comfortably furnished.

“Thanks,” I said when she gave me a can of soda with my plate, at the same time Rebecca suggested, “We have wine and beer, too.”

“He doesn’t drink,” Melody answered for me. Her voice was full of compassion since she knew my reason… kinda.

“Oh, okay then. I’m tired, you guys don’t mind if I hit the hay, right?” she stood up with her rhetorical question, eyeing Melody and I on the couch before continuing, “Kellan it was nice to meet you. Have fun,” she said and left the room. I got a glimpse of her winking at Melody.

“She looks… nice,” I grimaced, not knowing what to say, causing Mel to laugh.

“I know it was awkward. She likes to observe people around us, especially if they get inside of this door,” she pointed to the door with her thumb, “It won’t be like this next time. Actually I’m pretty sure you two would get along well. Because she is a lot like you,” she added.
