“No. It was just for you not me,” he said and kissed my lips sweetly. He was way too caring.

“Thank you,” I whispered against his lips and got comfortable on the bed. After drifting in and out of sleep I sat up abruptly. Alex was playing with his phone beside me.

“I need to make a phone call to my friend in the police department.”

“Uggh…I’ve just eaten your pussy and you’re thinking about calling the police? Didn’t I have an effect on you, babe?” Alex pouted playfully.

“Oh, you did have great effect on me but when Xander comes, you’ll need police support. That’s why,” I teased him and got out of the bed.

I was so glad the nightmare had left me alone. I wasn’t ready to go back in time and feel those horrible moments again.

After Angel got lost, I had been through night terrors for almost eight months. Those bad nights stopped only after I had set a goal for myself and started to take Krav Maga sessions with Gary. But today…I was so glad Alex was with me. I wasn’t strong enough to deal with a nightmare alone after yesterday.

“I really need some clothes, Alex,” I groaned when I looked at my reflection in the mirror.

“Well, while you two were fucking each other, someone was making important arrangements.” Xander said.

Uggh…he was always coming to the view like this. Without any sign…at the right time.

I turned to look at him. He was gorgeous as always with his three piece black suit. He put a few packets on the bed next to Alex. I didn’t miss the glare he threw toward him.

“Hey, Xander,” I smiled at him sweetly. He didn’t say anything, but just looked up and down my robe clawed body through his narrowed eyes. I felt pride and power with the bulge in front of his pants.

“Had fun, Flame? It sure sounded like that.” Xander said with dangerously amused voice. His tone sent a shiver through my body with anticipation. His amusement was dangerous—it was making me dizzy.

“It is a pity you weren’t here,” I said as avoiding the eye contact with him.

“What is there in those boxes?” I changed the topic.

“Some clothes for you. I had to guess your body size so it would be better for you to try them on.”

“I’m going to do some works in the studio. See you guys later,” Alex said and kissed me before going out. I saw him wink at me over his shoulder after he passed Xander who was sending daggers his way.

“Cocky bastard.” Xander said under his breath. I loved his grumpy way but I didn’t want him to think I didn’t care for him or I made a choice between him and Alex.

I slowly walked toward him. He didn’t say anything, just watched me coming his way.

“I had a nightmare.” I didn’t want to remember it so I continued quickly.

“Alex woke me up. I was a mess…he helped me,” I said in a whisper.

He didn’t say anything for a while.

“You okay?” His tone was still clipped but I liked that slight softness in his voice.

“Yes.”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you. I should have thought you’d have a hard time in the morning after a night like yesterday,” he said matter-of-factly. I assumed he wasn’t familiar with apologies so his words meant more to me.

“Don’t worry. You were making important arrangements, right?” I teased him with his own words.

A smile played on his lips and he pulled me toward him.

“Yes. But I wish I’d been here. I’ll have a rain check, though,” he told me seductively.

“What if I say no?” I whispered.

“You won’t,” he smirked at me arrogantly.
