Slamming it into first gear, I zip out of the long driveway. Pushing the speed limit, I get home in record time, climbing the stairs that lead to the main lobby where the elevator is to get to our apartment level. I go over scenarios in my head, but after every single one, I come back to the fact that I’m probably just being paranoid.

Luca is familiar.

He’s not problematic, or scary. He’s far from all those things.

By the time the elevator has hit our level and the doors open up into the kitchen, I’ve talked myself away from the cliff I so desperately wanted to jump from and have replaced my frown with a smile.

That smile drops instantly when Luca comes into view, leaning against the kitchen island with a glass of vodka dangling between his fingers. There’s a woman beside him on one side, and another in front of him on her knees, running her tongue around the base of his cock. The woman beside him is sucking on the side of his neck, leaving a trail of moans behind. System of a Down is playing loudly from the sitting room, and my eyes shift to where I hear more people.

I drop my bags near the front door, making my way for the alcohol cabinet. I take down a bottle of Macallan and snatch a lowball glass in my finger, kicking off my shoes and releasing my hair from the tie. I know he wants a reaction from me, one I won’t give him.

Flicking my phone onto the kitchen counter, I spin around until my eyes are on Luca. His fingers are deep in the girl’s hair in front of him, his eyes on the woman beside him when she leans up and kisses him greedily.

I smirk behind my glass, slowly unzipping my jacket and tossing it on the floor. He wants to play; it’s fine, I’ll play. We don’t usually bring this to our home, but clearly he’s in the mood to test boundaries.

Dropping my clothes to the floor, leaving me in nothing but my bra and panties, I pour more alcohol into my glass, rolling my eyes and making my way to the living area. Luca in a mood is something I can handle. Luca like this is my Luca. The Luca I saw last night is someone I’d rather not play with, so being in this environment is one I can live among. It’s familiar.

I pause at the entry to the living room, leaning on the threshold while watching three girls make out on the same sofa I Netflix on. A couple of men are watching them while touching themselves from the coffee table. There are other groups scattered around the place, but it’s the girls I can’t take my eyes off.

Swallowing more alcohol, I tilt my head and watch as one of them lowers to the floor onto her knees, burying her face between the other girl’s thighs. Near the bay window that leads onto the patio, two men and two women are fucking savagely, switching between partners.

I pull my lips between my teeth and make my way to the center of the room while throwing back the rest of the whiskey that’s in my glass.

“My Own Summer” from Deftones starts playing, and I stumble to the middle of the room, dancing and lost in the music. I didn’t get to release any of my energy before getting Luca’s text, so now it’s all pent up. Boiling inside and ready to pour out of me.

Waving my arms above my head, my body sways against the heady beat of the song just as my eyes collide to sandy-colored pits. There, sitting at the back of the lounge with his legs parted and his MC cut covering his chest, is Niko. He has two others beside him, but I can’t look away from him to see who they are.

What the fuck is he doing here?

I feel the flames of his gaze lick me across my skin as the song changes, and I scoop up the bottle of liquor on the coffee table.

Just as I bend over, a hand is on my lower belly as “Under the Influence” by Chris Brown starts playing.

Luca leans into my ear. “Give him a lap dance.”

My head whips over my shoulder. “No.”

Luca’s lips curl up in a sneer. “Do it. Now.” He shoves me away so forcefully I land on the lap of one of the guys on the sofa who has his hand around another’s cock.

Luca laughs around the rim of his bottle, twirling his finger in the air. “Replay the song. Meraki can give you all a show. She’s good at that.”

Defiantly, I push myself up from the man who I landed on, peering up at Niko.

He leans farther back, eyes narrowed but watching me carefully. His body is comfortable, his head tilted backward in challenge. When Chris starts singing, I move my body around the lyrics and tune, lowering to the floor and crawling closer to Niko with a smirk on my mouth. I sing the lyrics defiantly and Niko holds back a laugh from behind his hand when I spin around and stand, bent over with him behind me. Flicking my hair over my shoulder, I finally make my way onto his lap and lower myself slowly, my fingers flexing around his muscled neck, rolling myself over him.
