“I’d like to trust you, but your behavior over the last couple of weeks has been fucked up at best. You need to earn my trust.”

“Can you at least skip the gag?”

“If you promise to stay quiet, I’ll give you a chance.”

“I’ll be quiet, I promise. Not sure what difference it makes, though. I thought we were in the middle of nowhere?”

“We are, but I don’t want to listen to you bitch and moan. Get some sleep, princess. Tomorrow is a big day.”

“What’s happening tomorrow?” I asked, concerned.

“You’ll just have to wait and see.”

He grinned at me, a terrifying, cruel grin that chilled me to the bone. He stood up, leaned over me, and crashed his mouth against mine. I clenched my teeth together tightly, nausea rolling in my stomach as he forced his tongue into my mouth. I breathed heavily through my nose to avoid being ill and thrashed harder against my restraints.

He stood up and chuckled.

“You taste even better than I thought you would. Goodnight, Raven.”

“Fuck you,” I hissed.

“You shouldn’t have said that, Raven,” he snapped, a murderous look on his face.

I cried out as he roughly shoved the gag back in my mouth and tightened it to the point of pain, the leather straps cutting the corners of my mouth. He stormed out of the room, slamming and locking the door. I tried to calm my nerves, taking long, slow breaths through my nose, knowing that Chase and Seb would know by now that something bad had happened. They would burn down the world to save me. It didn’t matter how far we were from each other, the bond we shared couldn’t be broken. I cried long into the night, finally succumbing to sleep as the sun rose in the sky.
