His eyes widened slightly, “she KISSED you? My little sister, who has had the biggest crush on you for as long as I can remember had the balls to kiss you? I give her some credit there.”

“Yes, she did,” I muttered.

“And?” He asked, sounding a little excited.

I looked up, confused, “and what?”

“Are you two finally going to start dating?” He explained, wrapping his arm around my shoulders, “I know we’ve been friends for a long while, Graham, and I know that Savannah would be a good girlfriend to you. It doesn’t help either that she’s been in love with you for as long as I can remember.”

I rolled my eyes, knowing that I should’ve expected this, “Brigham, let me remind you that you are my right-hand before anything else, and I don’t need you meddling in my love life. Unfortunately for Savannah, that’ll never happen. She’s like a little sister to me, and that’s all she’ll ever be.”

Brigham sighed, shaking his head slightly as his arm dropped from around my shoulder, “Yeah, I should have seen that coming. Well, at least you let her down now so she can move on.”

“Right.” I muttered, not even wanting to think about it anymore, “did you figure out who attacked us? It didn’t look like the normal gangs that are around lately.”

“No, we haven’t.” Brigham admitted, shaking his head as he sat down in the chair, “but I have the men out investigating. These bastards won’t get away with it, I promise you that.”

“Good.” I growled, strapping my gun to my waist, “I want their heads, Brigham, they dared to mess with me. They have yet to face my wrath. They are lucky if they leave alive.”

A wicked grin crossed Brigham’s face, and I knew instantly what he was thinking. I wished Evelyn would text me, to show the same interest that I was feeling towards her. But maybe it was a good idea to let things take a while because then it wouldn’t be rushed.

I smirked, placing my phone in my pocket.

Daddy can be patient, little one, but don’t make me wait too long.
