Frost appears at my side and nudges me not so gently toward the broken window. Time to go.

I leap onto the glass-covered sink, then sail through the shattered panes out into the crisp, cold air. I hit the ground running, my paws sinking in the snow but not slowing my momentum as I leave the clearing behind for the thick forest beyond the cabin.

Thunderous footfalls follow me into the trees, but behind the shadow wolves, a shrill howl fills the air.

The remaining pack is coming for us.
