I drew in a deep breath. The air was so crisp and fresh from the storm, it was reviving. Which was good, because the work never stopped, and before I got to the restaurant my phone was ringing.

I listened as Gray gave me the details she’d been able to investigate as of this morning. Sounded like the guests were going to clear security and be able to go home. But I wasn’t about to let my guard down, not until we knew more about the company who’d sent them.

“Oh, before I let you go—Hayes was asking if you’d had a chance to check the sonar feed.”

“Not yet.”

“He offered to take it off your hands since you’ve got a lot on your plate already.”

I already knew this because he’d sent Zaki a private message stating the same.

“I’ll be fine. Besides, it’s not much of a priority for OZ since the guests checked out as legit,” I lied. Truth was, it was no longer a priority for I&A to know what the sonar had captured, but it absolutely was one for Zaki.
