“Amelia, you’ve got me for the next twenty-five minutes,” Kat said.

“Okay, Alaska is here with me.” I didn’t know why I told her that, but it tumbled out of my mouth.

“Good. It’s always good to have a support system. And I hear that Niko and Miguel are becoming a part of that system as well.”

I felt a blush creep up my neck. “That’s a discussion for another day.”

“So, Amelia, tell me about the last few days.” I heard the creak of a leather chair. I could envision her settling in a chair just like our regular sessions.

I spent the next ten minutes telling her everything that had happened from the moment I went after Molly until today. I needed to wet my throat after sharing the last few days. I took a healthy gulp of my now cool coffee.

“That’s a lot in a few days. Have you slept since you got back?” Kat asked.

“Yes, I napped.” Needing to verify what Alaska told me, I asked, changing the subject, “Alaska said another group of girls has been taken in the States. Is it true?”

Kat sighed. “Yes, and Leo and Diego have been on the phone with every contact in the area. There’s nothing for you to worry about.”

“But it’s the same people, isn’t it? The same group who took us? She said it was the same pattern. With me seeing Jeff, does that mean he’s doing it again?” I began rocking back and forth as memories flashed and took me under. I felt like I was drowning as each image grabbed me and pulled me back to that day.

Jeff Sandoval had taken me, a tourist, in the wrong place at the wrong time. I struggled against him, and he knocked me out with a hard hit to the side of my head using the butt of his gun.

I felt the phone fall out of my hand as my body froze. I couldn’t stop it as the next flash took hold. The first time Ricardo had come to see us.

“Do you know what you have here?” he asked. “More than just a mere good-looking woman. You have an elusive shifter. She will bring a very pretty price.” He had turned to give Jeff instructions on how to keep me and any other shifters he captured docile and unable to shift.

I hadn’t shifted up to this point because I didn’t want to give myself away. Now that the cat was out of the bag, I let my tigress loose…or tried to. I was still groggy from my head wound and couldn’t connect with that part of my soul.

“Kat, what do I do? She’s shaking, her eyes are rolled back in her head, and she’s mumbling. Tears are streaming down her face. Tell me what to do.” I heard Alaska’s voice as if through a tunnel. “Got it. Yes, send them. She won’t like it, but she needs them more than she is willing to admit.”

I felt a cool washcloth hit my neck and forehead. “Amelia, babe, come back to us. It’s just a memory, babe. Come back.” She moved me, climbing behind me on the couch and wrapping her arms and legs around me, cocooning me in warmth, love, and something else I couldn’t identify.

My body sagged as the memory released its grip on me, and my eyes opened just as Niko and Miguel burst through my front door.

“Right on time, boys.” Alaska released her hold on me as Miguel picked me up, turned, sat down, and covered me with a blanket. He cocooned me against him as he pushed his feelings through the tribond we had. It felt stronger than before. Destiny had it all wrong; I wasn’t meant for them or they for me. Alaska quietly left the house, forcing me to face the two very unhappy males surrounding me.

“You can stop with that line of thinking this instant,” Niko growled. “You are right where you are meant to be.”

I looked up at him standing at the end of the couch, his fingers flying over his phone. “How did you?”

“He reads emotions even better than your mind,” Miguel whispered. “And he’s right, baby, we are here to stay. Now, do you want to share with us what happened?”

I slouched and sulked. “No.”

“Amelia,” Niko’s growl was a warning.

I met his gaze, my own stubborn streak flaring up. “Niko,” I growled back.

“Love, we have all the time in the world. You may as well share with us.”

“Or what? You going to bend me over and spank me?” I smacked my hand over my mouth, wishing I could take every one of those words back. I had no clue where that had come from. My sassy mouth got me into more trouble with every word.

Desire lit Niko’s eyes as he stalked toward me. I felt Miguel’s reaction swell under my ass. Niko bent down, putting one hand on either side of Miguel and me, leaned in, and took a deep breath at the nape of my neck.

He trailed his nose up to my temple and whispered, “Sounds like someone wants to get in trouble.” He nipped my earlobe and backed off, effectively changing the direction of my thoughts.

Liquid desire ran through my veins, pooling in my overly excited girlie bits. They both realized at the same time, and in the same breath, they knew how excited I truly was. Niko’s eyes went dark, his tiger flashing in his eyes as Miguel’s hands began to roam.

“Fuck,” I whispered. I knew I was screwed. My hussy of a tigress and my traitorous body were primed and ready to go.
