CHAPTER20
Was this going to be enough? Andi wondered, only to realize that this was the one thing in her life that she was absolutely sure of.
“Your heart’s racing,” Andi said, feeling his heartbeat echo against her hand as she looked into Devyn’s intense blue eyes.
“That’s because you’re scaring the hell out of me,” Devyn murmured softly. “Tell me that this is enough.”
For a moment, Andi sat there feeling his heart beating against her hand as she stared into his eyes, wondering if he had any idea how much she wanted this. She’d never been very good at this sort of thing, never cared before, but with Devyn…
“I’m going to need you to kiss me now,” Andi said, nodding solemnly as she watched Devyn go still seconds before his lips twitched.
“God, you’re driving me fucking crazy,” he said as his lips pulled up into one of those incredibly sexy smiles that she loved so much as he leaned in and kissed her cheek.
“But you knew that, didn’t you?” Devyn asked as he kissed a spot just beneath her jaw that had her breath catching.
“I drive everyone crazy,” Andi reminded him, struggling to stay focused, which admittedly was very difficult at the moment with the way that he was slowly kissing his way down her neck.
“You really have no fucking idea,” Devyn said on a groan, his lips brushing against her throat.
She wanted to reply, but at the moment, all she could do was moan as she wrapped her arms around him while he kissed a path up her throat. She never thought anything could feel this good, but with every brush of Devyn’s lips over her throat, she struggled not to moan. Groaning, he reached up and cupped her face in his hands as he pressed one last kiss against her throat before his lips finally found hers.
The first brush of his lips left her trembling, the second had her moaning, and the third had her moving her lips against his as she shoved everything off her lap and climbed onto his, a soft groan reached her as Devyn dropped his hands away and-
“I have to tell you something,” she said as Devyn began kissing his way back down her throat, realizing that he was going to find out eventually.
“What’s that?” Devyn murmured against her neck, making it really difficult to focus.
“I’m really bad at this,” Andi managed to get out only to moan when his lips found a particularly sensitive spot on her throat.
“And why is that?” he asked as his hands found her hips.
“I’m a heartbreaker,” Andi mumbled sadly with a sniffle, absently noting the way that his lips pulled up into a smile against her skin.
“I figured that out when I saw the Eeyore slippers,” Devyn murmured as she leaned back so that she could see how he was taking the news.
“They give it away every time,” she admitted with a solemn nod only to moan when he leaned back in and kissed her.
“That, and your lunch box,” Devyn said in between teasing kisses.
“It makes me irresistible,” Andi said as she reached up and ran her fingers through his hair.
“Yes, it does,” Devyn murmured in agreement as he deepened the kiss, making it difficult to focus on anything else but just how good it felt to kiss her.
It had been a long time since a man kissed her, but she knew that she’d never been kissed like this before. His mouth was hungry as it moved over hers, teasing her lips into parting and once they did, she couldn’t hold back the moan that tore through her at the first stroke of Devyn’s tongue as it found hers. When she met the first stroke with another soft moan, he groaned as he used his hold on her hips to pull her closer and-
Had her breath catching when his hands slid over her bottom and gently squeezed. She liked the way that he touched her, kissed her, and looked at her when he didn’t think that she noticed, and God help her, but she wanted more.
She wanted him.
He felt so good, Andi thought, shifting on his lap, needing to get closer to him only to moan when she felt him growing hard beneath her. She was definitely in over her head on this one, Andi realized, but she didn’t care. Not when it felt this good to finally let go.
For the first time in her life, she didn’t care that she was in over her head or that she was probably making the biggest mistake of her life, not when he kissed her like this. She never thought that a kiss could feel this good, never thought that she could want someone this much, but with every brush of his lips, she found herself wanting more.
Moaning his name, Andi ran her fingers through his hair one last time before she slowly ran her fingertips along his jaw, losing herself in the touch of his skin, the feel of the light stubble teasing her fingertips as she ran her fingers down his throat, over his shoulders, and down his arms, loving the way that his muscles flexed beneath her touch. She loved the way that he felt, the way that he kissed her, groaning softly as she ran her hands over him before even that wasn’t enough.
Needing more, Andi reached for his tie and pulled it loose, her lips never leaving his as she lowered her hands to his shirt and slowly unsnapped each button. When she reached his belt, she grabbed hold of his shirt and pulled it free, pushing it open so that she could run her hands over his chest and down his abs, taking her time learning his body. Devyn groaned as he kissed her, knowing just how badly she needed this as he gave her free rein over his body, his hands gently squeezed her bottom, the move slightly rocking her against the large bulge between his legs pressing against her until she found herself taking over, lazily rocking against him.
He felt so good, Andi thought as she reached for his belt and pulled it free.
