“Oh my god, I forgot to tell you. I got a look at Gretchen’s list of baby names,” Natalie said.

“Tell me,” I said, leaning forward in anticipation.

“Okay, so I’m not going to tell you, but if you guess, I will let you know if you’re correct,” she said.

“Come on, you can’t trust me with baby names? Some friend you are,” I said, pouting.

“Oh, come on, don’t do that. I trust you, but I know how weird Gretchen is about this name thing. It was just by accident anyway. She doesn’t know that I know,” she said.

“Okay, fine. I get it.” It almost made me want to voluntarily spend time with Wyatt to see if he’d spill. It probably wouldn’t be that hard to get him to cave and tell me. I didn’t think he cared about the naming secrecy as much as Gretchen did.

“Okay,” I said, pulling up some baby name websites. “She’s not going to go with anything that’s too popular. She’ll want something unique, but not too weird. Hmm.”

I scrolled through the most popular names and looked for those that were a little offbeat.

“Okay, is she going with a theme? Like, do all of them start with the same letter?” I asked.

Natalie shook her head. That would have been nice.

“Are any of them family names?”

Another head shake.

Okay, that wasn’t helpful. I threw out a few suggestions and Natalie shot them all down.

“Are any of them names of famous people?”

That got me an emphatic nod.

“Oh, Christ,” I said. “Beyoncé? Please tell me she does not want to name her baby Beyoncé?”

Natalie closed her and sighed but nodded.

“Your sister is ridiculous, I hope you know that. Let me guess, some of the other names are from a famous family and begin with the letter K,” I said.

She nodded again. No.

“She must be stopped,” I said. “What about boy names?”

“I can only confirm that many of the potential boy names are locations.”

Locations.

“Like cities or states?” I asked.

“Bingo.”

“Wait, Bingo isn’t on the list, is it?”

“No,” she said with a laugh.

I thought of all the potential place names.

“Remember when we drove through Texas,” Natalie said, putting emphasis on the state name.

“Dallas? Fort Worth? Austin?”

“Yes, no, yes.”
