“No, it’s the part where I’ve known you for three days.”

“But they were three outstanding days, right?”

“Day one, you fed me and kept me from dying of heatstroke. That was damn impressive. Day two, you saved my new business from looking foolishly unprepared. Oh, and you paid for my celebratory booze. Again, you nailed that. Today, you fed and fucked me. Plus, you consoled my concerned heart when I tried running from my problems.”

“Don’t run again,” he says, doing little to hide his panic. “Just tell me what’s wrong, and I’ll fix it.”

“What if you’re the problem?”

“I can change.”

Narrowing my eyes, I ask, “Can you, really, though?”

“I think so. Back when we first met, I was still a prospect in my family’s club. I was fricking certain I was at the top of my game and should get patched in immediately. But my pa swore up and down how I was, in fact, an immature wiener. Since then, I’ve grown up and gotten more serious. Like, I’m still the same guy, but I’ve tightened up the areas where I was weak. That’s how it’ll be with you. Though I’m feeling good about my skills, I’ve never had a girlfriend before. I’ll need to fix areas where I’m not solid. But I won’t know my issues unless you’re honest.”

“Okay, then, I want you to stop escorting me to the ladies’ restroom. It makes me feel like I need to get done quickly since you’re waiting. I prefer to leisurely pee and then stare lovingly in the mirror for a while. Your protective nature is cramping my bathroom routine.”

“I don’t blame you for wanting to admire your beauty,” he says, giving my naked body a loving glance.

Following his gaze, I notice how my pale skin looks almost golden in the room’s lighting. “Do you think I’d be hotter with one of those spray-on tans?”

“You’re supremely hot already.”

“Should I try black hair?”

“No,” he says instantly.

“If I get a spray tan and dye my hair dark, I’d be like a new person.”

West’s handsome face falls into a grumpy scowl. “I like the way you look now.”

“Because you’re into redheads?”

“Because I’m into you.”

“But if I had black hair and tanned skin, I’d still be me. I just wouldn’t be a pale redhead. You’re definitely a ginger addict.”

“I’ve seen other gingers,” he insists. “Hot ones, too.”

“Where are these fellow redheads? Are they those church weirdos my cousins told me about? If so, of course, you wouldn’t get hard for a tightly-wound she-bitch.”

“No, babe, I’ve traveled outside of this area. My family went places when I was growing up. Last summer, my brother, sister, and a few cousins went up and down the eastern coast. I’ve seen plenty of redheads, but they just made me miss you.”

Staring at him, I’m flummoxed on how to respond when he shares such sappy bullshit that I almost believe. Can a man as sexy, rich, and confident as West Mercer really lose his mind over an impoverished small-business owner with zero ability to tan?

My internal eight ball insists I should ask later. Rather than wonder about my future, I’m curious about what I can accomplish right now in this bed with a very naked sexy man at my disposal. Smiling at West, I turn over onto my side to face him.

“Where are my manners?” I coo before stroking his cock. “I’m Alexis, Mister Dick. I’ll be your entertainment for the evening.”

West’s handsome face breaks into a wonderfully wicked smile. This right here is all I need to concern myself with tonight. The future can wait until tomorrow.
