He gives me a slight nod of his head, his eyes searing me.

“Sure, tell me whatever your pretty mind wants to share with me.” This time he imparts a large grin and a sexy wink my way. His lips curl up, making me remember he’s promised to wrap them around my cock.

“So, as I was saying, believe me, I’m a person who is made for a commitment. Leaving Katherine, or more so, her letting me go because we weren’t compatible was very hard.”

His eyes search me, maybe ready to call bullshit on a man who’s been divorced for some time and hasn’t found his match. Or maybe it’s just a convenient story to make me not sound like the arsehole I am.

“I think it’s all about finding the right fit,” he retorts, as he pushes to his feet, pulling at my arm. “And right now, all I’m concerned about, with fit, is how well I’m going to fit into you.”

I pull him close to me, pecking his cheek like earlier. “That’s cheeky, you know that, right, Teach?”

“Yeah, so totally cheeky.” He pulls out the syllables in the last word, making fun of my weird Irish/English slang. “And on the way, I’ve got to get a look at this house. Want to be a tour guide as we attempt to make it to your bedroom?”

Pulling him through the living room, leading to my grand foyer with my floating spiral staircase, I point out small knickknacks I’ve collected throughout the years. Across from the living room, as we enter the foyer, I show off my 1880 Center Pedestal Dining Table from the Victorian Era. He doesn’t seem too impressed but fakes it well. If he’s anything like me, it’s all about how we can make each other feel in the moment.
