Corey frowned.

Will just raised his eyebrows.

“I don’t know.” Corey sighed.

“You better figure it out,” Will suggested. “Because she’ll be hanging around with the whole family, and they’ll want to know what’s going on with you two.”

Corey shook his head, reminding himself that he loved the big, noisy, highly involved family he’d been brought into. He had always craved a supportive family, and although he’d been welcomed as a part of the Evanses, there was always that tingle of outsiderness. He was included, but they weren’t his.

“Lucky for me, the team is going on the road where the family won’t bug me.”
