I went to the kitchen and was happy to see that others had already been cooking. In general, my lodges worked as a community for meals and other things. It made it much easier for everyone across the board.

There were a few plates left so I grabbed everything I needed for Alex and me, taking everything back up to my room.

He was still in the middle of the bed, but his eyes were starting to open.

“Good morning,” I said, warmth spreading through me. Happiness.

How long had I wanted this? To have someone to protect and care for?

“Good morning, Daddy,” he said sleepily, slowly sitting up as I put everything on the breakfast table I had for the bed. “This looks incredible,” he whispered.

“Drink up on water,” I said, handing him the glass.

He obeyed immediately, draining it. He wiped his mouth and then gave me a sleepy grin.

He was adorable. Ruffled and still pink from being beneath the blankets, his skin and hair golden in the rays coming from the massive windows.

“What time is it?” he asked.

“Noon,” I said, joining him by sitting on the bed.

I’d bought the sturdiest mattress in the god damned world so nothing fell or shifted as I took my seat.

“I never sleep in,” he said, wiping his eyes.

“I got us coffee too,” I said. “Not a latte, sadly, but the beans are from the Barista so the grind is great.”

“Thank you,” he said, taking the mug. “I’m slow to wake up.”

“I can see that,” I grinned, amused.

“Pancakes too,” he said, his eyes widening. “This is great. No one has ever brought me breakfast in bed before.”

“Never?” I asked.

“Never,” he said. “No one has ever done any of the things we’ve done with me before.”

That made me happy in ways I hadn’t expected. “Well. I think I have to say the same. I’ve never brought someone breakfast in bed before. But, I think I’ll be doing it again if it means I get to see you wake up and smile.”

Alex paused for a moment and then gave me an even brighter grin. “I could get used to this.”

I snorted, amused. The two of us started to dig into our breakfast. I’d covered my pancakes with all sorts of things and, yes, I’d brought enough bacon and sausage to feed an army of me.

I leaned back, sipping on my coffee. “What kind of things would you like to do today, Alex? Tonight, there will be another game. But we have the rest of the day until then to relax.”

Alex’s brows shot up and I saw the anticipation set in, the scent of his arousal making me grunt.

“I don’t know what there is around here but I like hiking and kayaking.”

“Mmm…” I thought about it for a moment. “We can visit a lake nearby. Although…I will say, tonight will be physical.”

“Hmm…Maybe we can tomorrow or the next day then?”

I nodded. “Tonight will be another game but then tomorrow is meant to be a rest day for everyone. We could go tomorrow.”

Alex nodded, grinning again. “Then, today we can lie in bed and watch movies? I might use your bath again since I saw some epsom salt.”

“Are you sore at all?” I asked, feeling concerned.
