Rana shook his head. “That is a long story, but what I don’t understand is if the accident was not because of the Varmas, why did they have to leave town and move to London? Why did Namrata tell me they had to leave because of the Simhas?”

His father narrowed his eyes. “Something doesn’t add up. I need to sort this out with Dhanu.”

“Samraat, wait.” His mother shook her head. “Think coolly. I know you are eager to talk to your friend, but this explains the radio silence every time we reached out. We have to really understand what happened.”

Rana put his arm around his father. “Dad, I promise I will figure this out and bring your friend back.”

His mother let out an endearment. “Look, my baby is all grown up.”

Rana rolled his eyes, following them indoors, unable to wait for a moment to tell Namrata everything. She will be thrilled, and he had a major apology he needed to make. He could not wait to tell her everything, but it was best to do it in person, especially since she made him agree to their pact.

Nami felt like she was in the middle of a big cloud of fog. She felt hopeless from the moment Rana left the campus and wanted to kick herself for making him agree not to text or call.

“Family weekend,” she said out loud as if to taunt herself. It was late at night, and she could not fall asleep. She had gotten used to falling asleep after a lot of exhausting activity. She sat up, annoyed and frustrated, and reached for her phone.

She held it for a moment debating if she should call him that late at night. Maybe he was out with his cousins. Just as she was about to put the phone down, it started to ring, and it was Rana calling.

She let out a squeal of joy and answered the video call. “Rana, I missed you.”

He smiled, his eyes deepening. “You have no idea, sweetness. Sorry for breaking our pact.”

She blew him a kiss. “I’m so glad you did. I was dying here. I can’t do anything without you around.”

He chuckled, and his eyes fell on something. “What are you wearing to bed?”

“Your T-shirt.” She blushed, hiding her face in her palms.

“Baby… you look so hot in that T-shirt. I would have ripped it off if I were there.” He grit his teeth as he hardened.

“Stop,” she pleaded. She was already worked up just with the way he was talking. “I’ll be miserable till you come back.”

He looked at her for a long moment. “Let me take care of you, sweetness.” His eyes deepened further.

She was confused. “Huh?”

He leaned closer to the phone. “Are you wet?”

His question made her pool if she wasn’t dripping already. “Oh God, don’t do that to me. I’m already very very…” She couldn’t express what she was feeling.

“Frustrated, I know,” he said before setting his phone down and walking away to lock his bedroom door. “Go lock your door.”

Nami didn’t know what he was planning to do, but she scrambled out of bed and made sure her door was locked. She went back to the bed to find him waiting for her. “Why did you ask me to lock the door?”

He leaned closer. “I’m going to make you come,” he crooned.

She was stumped with what she heard but kept her eyes on him. He was sitting on a chair and kept his eyes on her as he reached into his shorts. “Oh God!” Her voice was a whisper. She could not take her eyes off him as he started stroking his painfully hard erection.

“Rana,” she cried out as the dull ache between her legs demanded her attention.

“Baby, touch yourself,” he ordered as he continued to slowly work on his hardness.

She shook her head as her breath came fast. “I… I can’t.”

He didn’t stop what he was doing, and she was getting even more worked up, just watching him. “Yes, you can. Just touch yourself. Put the phone down, upright, so I can see you, and you can see me.”

She followed his instructions but sat on the bed, her knees pressed together to curb her cravings. But she could not stop watching him.
