“It’s rather simple, really. We were working on the lyrics and one of my lady friends said it seems we hit a dead end when we developed writer’s block. When she said that Sebastian thought that would be a great song and album title.”

“We see that you are without your usual entourage of women. Does that mean you are off the market, Simon?”

“Simon Ashton off the market? Never. Our PR said we should tone down our antics.”

“Is that the reason for the change of appearance? I think it looks great, by the way.”

“We have a new stylist who is magical. She pulled this together in one day and she’s working on our concert gear now.”

“Can we have a name?” A reporter asks.

I look to Myka for direction, not wanting to give unwanted publicity to her friend. When she nods, I answer. “Brianna Hurst. I’m sure we will have her contact information on our website relaunch as there will be a behind-the-scenes section introducing our revamp.”

“It’s rumored that you were close to losing your contract with your current label based on the antics you previously displayed. Is that true?”

These question-and-answer segments make me nervous. Normally I would be so gone out of my mind that it wouldn’t matter.

“There were some creative differences with our previous public relations team, but I can say in all honesty, our new representative is doing her job well,” Sebastian answers when words fail to come to me.

“And, Simon, what has she been able to do to get you under control?” The reporter follows up.

“For starters, she’s incredibly hot, so she has my attention, and she wards off any of my advances. That lets me know she’s serious about her job and works hard to achieve her set goals.” I glance at Myka who is beaming at my comment and giving me the thumbs up.

“What makes the sound on this album different from the others?”

“We started out with a bit of the same ol’ same ol’, but after a meeting with Myka, we reworked most of our songs to get back to our roots, if you will.” I wink at Myka when I repeat the words she once used with me.

“When does the album launch?”

“There is a listening party right after this junket in one of the rooms. This is an exclusive and you would want to be there to hear it first.”

“I want to get to the refreshments they have set up personally,” Stix chimes in.

“What about your next tour, when will it start and where?”

“Uh, let’s see. We release the album, then do a secret album release performance. We will have a contest for our fans to get tickets to the shows so stay tuned for the details.”

“Simon, before we wrap up, do you think we can get a picture of you guys and your new rep?”

“Myka, what do you say? The public wants to see the magic behind our new.”

She waves me off at first then Amber gently pushes her forward. By this time, everyone knows who she is, and the cameras start flashing.

“Myka, Myka, can you answer a question? What makes Osiris different from any of your other talent?”

“For starters, Osiris has more experience than my other clients. But they all share a common denominator...hunger. They love what they do, and their fans, so the drive is there.”

“What do you make of Simon’s off-stage, or even sometimes on-stage antics?”

“Like what?”

“Oh, come on. Surely as his PR manager, you know about the womanizing, drugs, and alcohol abuse.”

“While the actions of his past may taunt or even haunt him now, I know he is dedicated to giving his fans what they want, which is kickass, hot, rock music. His personal life is just that. Even if it is in the public eye.”

The reporter backs down and I have a shit eating grin on my face. She’s a total badass.

“Now, if there aren’t any more questions, let's move on over to the ballroom where Dead End is cued for your listening pleasure. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres are available.”
