Why am I focused on him like this?

I regroup and return to the light conversation. “I imagine she will. Having her two kids at home would make any parent pleased.”

“You know we do have a younger sister and an older brother.”

“Really? No, I was unaware.”

I turn my attention to the desk clerk. “Yes, checking in for one night. It’s under Leonard Morrison or Meteor Records.”

He gives me a warm smile and Amber’s words play devil’s advocate with my mind, and I toss the guy a little flirtatious reciprocation.

His warm brown eyes coupled with his olive-toned skin give me the feeling that he is not a native of London.

“Very well, miss. I have your reservation here. We have four king-size rooms for one night. I just need your ID and company card for incidentals.”

In all the haste I’m sure no one thought to get me my own room.

“Sure, here is my driver’s license and the credit card. We will need to add an additional room as well.”

“I will check to see if we have anything available.” He taps a few buttons and moves the mouse around with a few clicks. “I’m sorry, miss. We don’t have any additional availability. We have a rugby tourney starting tomorrow and any extra rooms were reserved when some of the teams arrived.”

I let out a deep breath. I know hotels keep their capacity at ninety-five percent, saving a few rooms for urgent matters. I lean forward allowing the top of my breasts to show and I flip my head to the side and give him my best come-hither look.

“Are you sure there isn’t just one room for me?” I bat my lashes and flirt with him hard. Hell, at this point, I’ll even give him a kiss for finding a room.

“I’m sorry ma’am. There is nothing I can do, honestly.”

“She’ll be fine. She can sleep with me.” Simon puts his arm around my shoulders and gives me a shake.

“Uh, no, Simon. That’s okay. I’m sure there is another hotel nearby with a room available.”

“If I may, miss. With the tournaments, I highly doubt there will be any availability. I took the liberty of checking our sister sites and they are at capacity as well. You may be better off staying with Mr. Ashton.”

“Oh, you know who we are?”

“Of course, I do. You’re one of my favourite bands. In fact, may I have your autograph?”

“Of course, you may, mate.” Simon takes his marker from his bag and scribbles on the paper the desk clerk provides him. He waves to the others to join in as well.

“Can I get a picture with you too?”

“Sure. We love our fans. Myka, you wouldn’t mind, would ya?”

He hands me the young man’s cell phone and I snap a pretty decent-looking picture. Soon after, a few more fans surround us, and a bit of mayhem ensues. They were signing papers, magazines, tits, and anything else the fans asked. Not for long, though.

“Okay, guys. Let’s get you to your rooms before this grows out of control.”

“Aw, Mum. Can’t we play for a little while longer?” Mikey adds.

I just roll my eyes, collect the key cards for each room, and stroll toward the elevator hoping they’d catch the hint.

“Okay, guys. Myka is serious, let's go. Maybe we can do a meet and greet outside the station tomorrow,” Sebastian states.

“Yeah, if our road mum will let us,” Stix quips.

They all share a giggle as I enter the waiting elevator. I rest against the back wall and let out a sigh. The jetlag is starting to set in, and the desk clerk is proven right after I conduct my own search. There are no rooms available within fifty miles. At least not any nice ones.

“What’s wrong love?” Simon asks when he spots me at the back. I raise my gaze to his and am happy to see the same concern in him I saw last Sunday.
