“I think you’ll be great. I peeked at the presales, and you have seventy-five percent sold out dates. That’s amazing.”

“We had good representation. I wish she would stay.”

“How did you know?”

“We’re in the entertainment industry love. News travels fast.”

“Amber?”

“Yeah.”

We share a small chuckle.

I lower my gaze and turn to my car to avoid any unwanted conversation. “It wasn’t going to last much longer anyway. After I had executed and delivered on a sure-fire plan for you, I would be moved on to a new client.”

He tilts his head to the side and just looks at me, searching for something in my expression. “You miss him, don’t you?” He asks.

“Sebastian, I don’t allow do-overs regardless of how I feel, even if it is my fault for being so eager and presumptuous. It’s just best I remove myself from temptation and move forward. After all, Simon has definitely done that.” I make the comment about the photograph I saw yesterday morning.

“It was a staged picture, my love. Simon is miserable without you and he’s sorrier than you think.”

I breathe an internal sigh of relief, yet I still can’t go back to him. “Be that as it may, I can’t. I have a new client I will be working with and it’s obvious I can’t navigate my job and a relationship. That’s why both of mine failed.”

“Who said that? Was it my brother?”

“Yea, and he was right. I put too much into the success of my clients than I do in my own personal life.”

I can tell he wants to say something, but I hold my hand up to try and stop him. It doesn’t work.

“At least come to the concert tomorrow. He’ll want to see you and make sure you’re okay. Please?”

I nod. “I guess I will.”

“Great. Well, I gotta go. Brianna is doing the final fittings and I don’t want to piss her off. She may stick me with her needle.”

“I’m sure Amber will kiss it and make it better. Bye, Sebastian.”

He heads over to his motorcycle and pulls out onto the street.

I take a few moments to reflect and think of how tomorrow may go. I meant it when I said I don’t allow do-overs. There is no need to take someone back regardless of fault. That tension will always be there. Pushing the button to start my car, I check my mirrors and drive over to Beverly Hills for some much-needed retail therapy.
