Leo let out a ragged breath, but he nodded. “Okay.”

“Fix this.”

“I will.”

“Please.”

He rolled off me, but his arms came around me, tugging me into his chest. I buried my face against his torso, holding him tight.

I kept telling him to fix this. To fix us. To put the pieces back together again. To make it all okay.

Though it was clear I was giving him an impossible mission.

Ultimately, our trio was breaking apart at the seams. My worst fears were happening, and I could do nothing but watch in horror as the distance grew between us.
