“That’s the green zone. People there like to live alternatively. According to Dad, it’s been there for as long as he can remember, and some of the inhabitants are now the children of the originals. It was kind of a rite of passage for Ryker teenagers to go over there and do things they shouldn’t,” Charlie said.

“I’ve never really done anything I shouldn’t,” Luna said, slurping her drink while they leaned on the railing.

“Oh, now that’s not true. I remember you doing something you shouldn’t in college and me holding your hair when you puked it up,” Hugo said.

“I try at least once a month to rebel now, seeing as I missed out on so much of it when I was really boring,” Charlie said.

“Idiot.” Luna laughed.

“Hell, Luna. I’m worried about you,” Charlie said.

“I’m okay. This is nothing new—”

“And that’s BS, because while you’re trying to show us that picture didn’t upset you, it did. I know you, Luna. Know when you’re hiding,” Hugo said.

“Can we not talk about this for now?” Luna looked at her friends.

“All right, but after the game we talk to Dylan.”

“Who is Dylan?” Hugo asked.

“My brother who was and sometimes still is an FBI profiler.”

“Done,” Hugo said before Luna could speak.

Luna nodded reluctantly. She’d rather not tell the authorities, but Dylan wasn’t really that, so maybe he was the right person to talk to. Whoever had sent that photo hated her, and she was not stupid enough to think they’d go away just because she wanted them to.
