‘I will,’ says Linda. ‘I’ll do it right now, in fact.’

‘On it,’ says Priya.

‘And I’ll talk to Mary,’ says Jess. ‘This afternoon, if I can.’

‘Thanks, Jess,’ says Steph. ‘Well, it’s certainly a very interesting development. Good work, DC Tanner.’

Frankie beams.

‘Thanks,’ she says.

‘And we’ll try to find some Davids who fit the bill here,’ says Bryn. ‘Even though I still think it’s unlikely to narrow it down nearly enough. I wonder if it’s time to start thinking about releasing some more information to the public? Very carefully, obviously. There’s another few moments of silence. Then Steph says:

‘You might be right, Bryn. But we still have a few weeks. Let’s not panic yet, OK? We’ve got a direction to explore now, at least, haven’t we? Let’s try and do that first and reconvene early next week. Because we’re getting closer, guys. We’re getting closer to working out his motivation, I canfeelit.’

‘And once we know what that is, we’re one step closer to finding outwhohe is,’ says Priya.

‘Exactly,’ says Steph.
