CHAPTERFOURTEEN

Sebastian

“Bro, that was fucking brutal. Who knew she had it in her?” Alex laughs—and not for the first time since they found me pinned against the wall by the pocket rocket earlier.

“Are we not over this yet?” I ask after taking a pull on my beer.

“Mate, we’re never going to be over this,” Theo adds, dropping onto the opposite sofa and passing me another bottle. “It was that fucking good.”

“Whatever,” I mutter. “I made it easy on her. I could have got out of it in a heartbeat if I wanted to.”

“Sure thing,” Toby adds, his black eye from trying to get in the middle of this thing between Stella and me a constant reminder that it’s none of his fucking business and that he needs to keep his fucking hands to himself.

I wasn’t lying when I told both Theo and Stella that I don’t fucking share.

I might have in the past. Theo and I, hell, even Alex and I, have had our fair share of fun with any willing girl. But that’s not Stella. And not just because she’s anything but willing.

“Where’d she even learn all those moves anyway?” Nico asks.

Theo’s eyes meet mine, Alex’s a beat later.

“She obviously does MMA as well as gymnastics and cheer,” Toby says, although from the way he’s looking between the three of us, I’d say that he’s becoming more and more suspicious about what we’re hiding.

“Explains her body, I guess,” Nico adds. “She’s fucking banging.”

My head snaps to the side to glare at him.

“Stake your claim all you want, bro. She’s clearly not interested in what you’ve got to offer. As far as I see it, all’s fair in love and war.” He winks at me before smiling at Toby.

“Nah, she’s fucking mine.”

Nico chuckles as he stands.

“And it’s my fucking birthday,” he quips before disappearing down the hallway with Toby hot on his tail.

“What the fuck was that?” Alex asks, taking a hit on his blunt.

“They suspect something.” Theo says the exact thing I’m thinking. “We need to tell them.”

“We need to tell them fuck all.”

“Seb,” he sighs, running his fingers through his hair. “I didn’t mean everything. Just… who she is. The fact that she has no idea.”

“Maybe it’s time she learned,” Alex suggests.

“So she can run? Fuck that.”

They both stare at me in disbelief.

“Firstly,” Theo says, holding a finger up. “I thought you wanted her gone. And second, does she look like the kind of girl who runs from anything?”

“I do want her fucking gone. But I want to be the one to make it happen.”

“You need to chill out,” Alex says, passing his joint over.

“Daemon coming tonight?” I ask him, taking a hit and holding it.

“He’s working.”
