CHAPTERTWENTY-NINE

Sebastian

“Stop looking at me like that,” Stella hisses from beside me in the back of Daemon’s car.

“What?” I ask innocently, but I’m unable to keep my eyes locked on hers, instead favouring dropping them down her body.

She looks sensational in her black pencil skirt, lace, almost-see-through corset and her black jacket. Add the gun holster and the knife I know she’s got strapped to her thigh and I’m fucking harder than I can ever remember being.

My girl looks like the bad-arse that she is, all wrapped up in a sexy fucking package.

“Don’t even think about fucking in the back of my car,” Daemon barks.

“About the only place they haven’t christened yet,” Theo mutters.

“Ignore him, he’s just jealous.”

“Of getting laid every twenty minutes? I have no idea why,” Daemon deadpans.

“Shut up and just fucking drive,” I bark, although with those two in the front I have no chance of anyone taking orders from me.

“Seriously,” Stella hisses.

“I can’t help it,” I say, holding her eyes this time. Her makeup is dark, her lips blood red. The same colour I intend on painting the town with tonight. Okay, maybe not the town, but the Reapers’ floorboards at least. “The bloodlust burning in your eyes, and that outfit… fuck, baby. I’m so fucking gone.”

“You need to get your fucking head in the game, Papatonis, or you’ll be left behind with only your hand for company while your girl takes this cunt out,” Theo barks.

“He’s got a point.”

I scoff, pulling at the fabric of my trousers in the hope of giving my cock some space.

“Why did Calli even think that was a good idea?” I mutter, eyeing her outfit again.

“Because she knows me well. I think I fit in perfectly.”

“That’s half the problem,” Daemon adds, still eavesdropping on our conversation.

“Did you see Dad’s face when she appeared? I thought that vein in his forehead was finally going to blow,” Theo asks, sounding a little more relaxed all of a sudden. “Bet he never thought he’d see the day he’d send a female soldier out on a job.”

“I’m just glad he didn’t try keeping me away,” Stella adds.

“Dad’s old fashioned, not stupid, Princess.”

“Good to know,” she laughs.

Silence falls over the car as we take the final turn toward the Reapers’ compound.

Another black car appears at the other end of the road that I recognise as one of ours. Boss didn’t say that we’d have backup, but I’m hardly surprised. The Reapers have enough man and firepower to overpower the four of us. I’m just hoping Ram, their prez, knows what’s good for him and holds fire. We don’t need this turning into war just because one of his members decided to break the fucking rules and go up against us, Jonas’s son or not. Cunt deserves to die for the shit he’s pulled.

The Reapers, the Italians and us are meant to have a fucking agreement to save the kind of bloodshed that occurred in the past, as we’ve all fought for power and territory. But it seems to only be us right now who are following the rules all gangs agreed to.

Daemon pulls up on the side of the road outside the compound gates as the other car does the same.

The gates open for us, proving that Boss was right—Ram is expecting us in some way.

“This seems entirely too easy,” Stella mutters from beside me, running her eyes around the mass of bikes and trucks littered around.

Daemon brings the car to a stop, and without saying a word, he and Theo climb out.
