“Enough,” I interrupt. “I’ve made my decision. I don’t need to explain anything to anyone.”

I can tell she still wants to argue, but I’m done listening to it. There’s no time anyway. I push her hand off my leg and stand up. “Get Isabella ready.”

“Why? Are we… are we leaving again?”

“Are we running like cowards, you mean?” I bite out. “Fuck no.”

“Okay, well, then what are we doing?”

“We’ve got work of our own to do,” I tell her. “Be ready in half an hour.”
