We brought them down to the game room in the basement when we got back to his parents’ mansion. It had a pool table and darts, and a stocked bar. It didn’t take Nathan long before he disappeared upstairs with his chick. I stayed downstairs with her friend, playing a game of pool against her. We were all hammered by that point, but it didn’t matter. Once I got drunk, Laura filled my brain with the dirtiest of ideas. Like laying her across this pool table right fucking now.

While I was lost in my thoughts, the sorority chick, named Megan, found her way under my shirt. By the time I realized what she was doing, the button on my jeans was undone. I grabbed her hands before she could unzip me. “Woah. You’re drunk.”

“I’m not that drunk,” she giggles. “Besides don’t you want to have a little fun?”

I slowly maneuver her hands back to her sides. “I—”

A loud slam makes us both jump. I looked to the door and Laura stood there, seemingly confused.

“Sorry. I, uh, I didn’t think any one was down here,” she stammered.

“Well, obviously we are.” Megan’s response was snotty.

Laura's eyes narrowed. “Obviously.”

“Do you mind? We were just in the middle of something,” Megan says.

“Oh, absolutely. Excuse me.” Laura crossed the room and grabbed a pool stick on the rack mounted on the wall.

“Wanna play?” she asks as she looks directly at me.

“Uh…” I look at the girl, then back to Laura “Sure.”

“Seriously?” Megan asks.

I shrug. “Yeah, why not?”

One game turned into two, and before I knew it, we were on our third game. “Tie breaker,” I say to Laura.

“Ready to lose?” she laughs.

“You wish,” I say back with a grin on my face that I can’t help.

I’d all forgotten about the other girl until a cough interrupted my appreciation of Laura’s body as she bends over the pool table to take her shot. We both look over to the bar where Megan seems to have helped herself.

“As fun as this”—she wiggles her finger between us—“whatever freaky shit you have going on, I think I’m going to go grab my friend and head out.”

“Are you talking about the blonde chick with Nathan?” Laura asked.

“The one having more fun than me?” she mumbles. “Yep, that’s her.”

“Oh, I saw her leaving in an Uber about an hour ago,”

“What?” the girl gasps.

“Yeah, she didn’t look so hot. And my brother doesn’t really do sloppy. You know what I mean.” Laura shrugged.

The sorority chick narrowed her eyes and huffed as she spun out of the bar stool and stormed out of the basement.

“Why didn’t you tell her when you got down here?” I ask.

“Tell her what?” she said as she took her turn, handling the pool stick like a pro.

“That her friend left,” I say.

Laura sunk the ball in to a corner pocket. She straightened and looked me in the eyes. A smirk formed on her face and I got ready—that smirk meant trouble.

“Because the last time I checked, her friend was in Nathan’s room moaning his name for the entire house to hear.” Her smile got wider and I couldn’t help but match it with my own.

“Shady. That’s what you are—straight upshady,” I said with a laugh.
