Ethan looked at me and lifted an eyebrow. “Well, if we’re not going to have pizza, then I guess we should order something else?”

The veiled question flickered in his eyes, and I chewed on my lip as I tried to find the courage to do what I really wanted to do. The courage to eat the whole damn pizza.

“Well?” Ethan asked, glancing between me and the door. “What’s it going to be? We’ve got a few hours before we get to Chicago. How do you want to spend it? Eating pizza or eating train food?”

As much as I wanted to scream “Pizza!” and launch myself on top of him, I let out a sigh and answered, “Train food. It has to be train food.”

There was no hiding the disappointment on his face, but he smiled and answered, “I’ll grab us some menus.”

When he stood up, and I got to drink in the lines on his perfect body, I flopped backward on the bed and slammed my eyes shut.

You chickened out again, Ivy. You should have said pizza.

Having the perfect day of being bold and brave and pushing my personal boundaries had been so close, but at the last second, I’d tripped and fallen at the finish line. I just wasn’t the kind of girl who could have sex with a near-stranger on a train, and though that should have been a good thing, when I sat up and saw him standing at the door in that towel again, it felt like the worst thing in the world.
