CHAPTER FOUR

Liam

Originally when I saw Mila and considered her a perfect candidate, I couldn’t help but wonder if I was making a mistake in trusting her. Money was never an issue since I have millions put away, but when I thought she was going to accept just ten grand, it made me wonder if she was that stupid. But to put on a big price of fifty grand to test me, I couldn’t help but like that fire, she had inside of her. It made me think that she wasn’t stupid at all.

“Where are we going?” She asked me quietly, nervously looking outside the car window.

“We’re almost there.” I muttered, wondering why she got in my car if she was going to ask questions, “the fifty grand is in your bank account. If I was up to no good, I wouldn’t have done that, now would I?”

Hesitating for a slight moment, she ended up nodding her head, “yeah, I suppose that is true… I think you’re a little crazy for dishing out fifty grand on a stranger. How do you know I won’t just take the money and run?”

It was a good question, and I had to be real careful in what I said next, “trust me, you wouldn’t run away… especially knowing if that would be the last thing you ever do.”

Her head jerked up in surprise, and I could see the terrified look in her beautiful - ahem! I mean, in her green eyes, knowing for a fact that she most definitely knew that I wasn’t lying when I said this. I could see her wracking through her brain, trying to figure out if I was lying or not. I wasn’t one to just scare somebody for no reason, but she wouldn’t get away from me if she ended up doing something like that.

Unfortunately, I’d have to kill her first.

“We’re here.” I broke the awkward silence, pulling into the parking lot of a designer store that one of my friends owns, “remember, you need to act like we’re a couple. The person who owns this place is very in tune with those I want to fool. I can’t wait to see your acting skills, it will really be a test to see if you can do this or not.”

I didn’t waste time giving her a chance to mull this over. I got out of the car, walking around as I saw people turn to watch me in curiosity. I held open the door for Mila, holding my hand out to her as I watched her carefully, hoping that she didn’t screw everything up.

To my surprise, she smiled brightly as she took my hand, allowing me to help her out of the car. Shutting the door behind herself, she let go of my hand just to link her arm with mine, scooting close to my side. I tensed slightly, feeling the heat from her body and the scent of her perfume invading my senses. Her ample breasts pressed against my arm, much fuller than I thought they would be, and she looked up at me with such innocence that it made me want to taint her at that moment.

I furiously pushed those invasive thoughts away, stunned that I could even think that way. Quickly looking away from her, ignoring this weird feeling inside of me, I led her inside the store where I was immediately greeted by an old friend of mine, Robin. Having been in the fashion industry for nearly ten years now, we’ve known each other for much longer than that. While in middle and high school, we used to hate each other if you could believe it. Never did I think that there would come a time when I actually would like him somewhat.

“Ah, Liam,” He greeted me as soon as we walked through, shaking my hand with a big grin on his face, but I knew his eyes were instantly drawn to Mila, “and whose this pretty lady on your arm?”

A cold, weird feeling erupted inside of me as I didn’t want him looking at her like a piece of meat, but I decided to not worry about it as I shook my head, squeezing her closer to my side, showing her off, “good afternoon, Robin, this is Mila, my fiancee.”

Robin instantly looked taken back, but he shook her hand, looking slightly confused, “fiancee? Hell, Liam, I didn’t even know you were seeing anybody. How in the world did you get a beautiful woman to fall for an asshole like you?”

I should’ve been offended, but he wasn’t really wrong, “well, as much as I asshole I can be, it was love at first sight for the both of us, and I’m not sure what I would do without her. Not many people know about her though. You’re the first one I told.”

“You haven’t told your brothers yet?” Robin demanded, gawking at me, “are you crazy? You know they will flip out.”

Rolling my eyes, I knew that topic was going to come up, but I didn’t care, “I’ll tell them in due time. It’s not like they haven’t hidden stuff from me as well. Now, there’s a reason why I’m here, Robin. I want to get Mila as many dresses and nice outfits that you can provide for her. Money is no issue here.”

Robin’s eyes lit up, and he instantly took her hand, pulling her away from me, “awesome! I knew you could always count on me to help you out with this. Don’t worry, I’ll get her all perfect for her.”

“Good because we have a dinner to attend tonight,” I replied, seeing her look back at me in surprise.

Let’s see Robin work his magic. The sooner this is done, the sooner I can get rid of her and not have to worry about these weird feelings anymore. Just what kind of game is she trying to pull with me? I really don’t want to have to get rid of her so quickly.

Mila

I’m not sure how many outfits and dresses Robin made me try on, but it felt like hours had passed. I didn’t even dare look at the price tags, knowing what kind of designer Robin was and that majority of his collection is not cheap. I couldn’t see how a man like Liam could be friends with a designer, but I suppose I shouldn’t judge too much.

“Oh my god!” Robin practically squealed with joy, gawking at what I was wearing, “this is the one! You look so beautiful and it matches you perfectly!”

Looking in the mirror, I almost didn’t recognize myself. The floor-length dress hugged every one of my curves, clinging to my body like a second skin. The red satin fabric brushed smoothly against my skin, caressing me in a way I didn’t think could ever happen. The front of the dress was a little modest, dipping down to show a little bit of cleavage but covering enough that it didn’t look too out there. A slit in the dress made its way up my leg to the middle of my thigh, and the back of the dress had no fabric, dipping down all the way to the small of my back, barely covering the top of my ass.

Is this really me?

“Do you like it?” He asked me excitedly, “Liam is going to be a horn dog when he sees you, I swear. You better tell him to keep his hands to himself till you get home.”

My cheeks flushed with embarrassment, knowing this was just an agreement between Liam and me, and there was no way he was going to lust after me, but Robin didn’t know that “don’t worry, he knows how to control himself.”

Robin looked intrigued, grabbing some other designs that he had liked, “tell me, Mila, how long have you two been seeing each other?”
