Combat Royale – PhaseII

Welcome to Phase II of Combat Royale, the fighting tournament that answers all your questions.

What is more important? Brain or force? And if you’re faced with the ultimate dilemma, would you choose life or death?

Today, we bring you a special edition of Combat Royale.

On one side, we have a team of warriors so deadly, they had to be pitted against not one, not two, but three teams of ultimate fighters in a gladiator face off.

Introducing first, a woman forged in the heart of the Amazon. She stands 5′11″ and 160lbs. With a confirmed kill of 27, please welcome one of the best fighters in the world. Surinam!!!!!!!!!!!!

I smirked in disdain when Suri nonchalantly walked around the arena with her sword raised while the crowd was up on their feet and roaring their approval.

I’ll never understand people’s thirst for combat sports. I knew it called out to a primal need in them for violence and a desire to prove one’s toughness. But how tough can you be if you’re not the one doing the actual fighting in the ring?

“The Amazons, huh? I thought your folks were from SoCal?” I teased when the female finished her skit and walked up to me.

“They are, but I’m guessing Brazil sounded more exotic,” Suri smiled.

“It is.”

“Thank you, Sarah Murdoch from Iowa.”

“My parents were from Connecticut, cretin.”

“Hush.” Eric stared at us severely.

Surinam is joined by an enemy of the American Guild.

The boos were instantaneous. The displeasure of the crowd was so loud, it drowned out the emcee, who couldn’t finish his sentence.

“I don’t think they like you, honey,” I smiled.

“My delicate feelings are crushed. I think I’m going to go to the corner and cry,” he answered dryly.

The quips were helping us relax as much as possible. After all, it wasn’t every day you got to face nine people in a ring.

And last but not least, she stands five-feet-tall and 130lbs. With a confirmed kill of one, she is our very own hacker extraordinaire, who once shut down the New York Stock Exchange on a dare. Ooooooooorion!

This special edition of Combat Royale will give each participant a weapon of choice, as per your request.

“Sure, we will,” Suri smirked.

“Hey, at least you got your sword. Please tell me you know how to wield that thing?” I asked Surinam jokingly, only for the bitch to flip me the bird.

The Latina was taught how to wield a weapon by an expert swordsman for years. To give you an idea how good and fast she was, think samurai of old.

Eric was standing motionlessly beside me, holding on to his shield.

I haven’t told him what happened with Hayes because we’ve been busy practicing and coordinating our individual skills for the tournament.

I should have said something, but wasn’t sure how. Now it was too late to get into that. I couldn’t let him into the arena without warning him, however.
