But I didn’t realize it would feel this—addictive.

He rolls to my side, still inside me, and slides my leg up to his hip.

“You okay?”he asks.

“What?”I try to get my eyes to meet his gaze. But everything is still so hazy, almost dreamlike.

And what a dream it was.

“Are you okay?”he repeats.“You look a little—how do I describe this?Um, stunned maybe?”

A smile curves my lips, his voice suddenly bringing me back to reality—a reality in which I still have nearly two weeks to enjoy this without any worry or questions about where this is going.

“Well,” I finally manage to say, “youarepretty stunning, Harris.”

“Good.Because remember how you saidyoucouldn’t wait until after Christmas?”

“Yeah?”

A slow and seductive smile eases upward to his cheeks.“Well, nowIcan’t wait until after Christmas to do this again.Tomorrow night, maybe?”

I grin at his eagerness, then my smile deflates.“I can’t.I’m going caroling.”

He frowns.“You can’t skip?”

As if to tempt me, his fingers slide to my chest, and he cups a breast.

The feel of his hands on me brings me right back to the edge.

“My recruitment efforts were lacking this year.”I force the words.“They’d never forgive me if I didn’t show up, on top of that.”

He seems to ponder for a moment.“Can I go with you?”

I feel my face screw up.“You want to gocaroling?”

He winces slightly as he looks at the expression on my face.“Is it that painful?”he asks.

I laugh.“To any other guy I’ve tried to recruit over the years, apparently, yes.”

His smile returns.“Any other guy you tried to recruit didn’t get to dothisafter caroling,” he says, moving his mouth to my breast, making my heart flutter. He glances at me again.“Besides, it can’t be worse than some of the action I’ve seen in my life.”

And as I savor the feel of his lips against me again, so tender and warm, I figure… I’ll just let himthinkthat.
