I laugh coldly.

“I already plan on doing that, Oliver,” I mutter in a clipped tone. “While you rot in—”

“This evaluation…”

“Is going to put you away for—”

“Oh Christ, what has he done?” He whimpers in a haunted voice.

I stiffen sharply. I blink, my thumb hovering over the call button as I turn to narrow my eyes at him.

“What did you say?”

The man is broken. He sits slumped on my floor, bleeding from the nose with tears in his eyes as he looks up at me.

“Did you look into Dr.Jeong?” he chokes.

My brow furrows.

“Obviously. He’s a psychiatrist in New York—”

“He’s apediatricpsychiatrist, Noel.”

It feels like he’s just hit me with a brick. The world goes still, while I go reeling. I open my mouth, but words don’t come. My brain glitches, trying to make it make sense, even as the other part of me doesn’t want it to.

“You have the wrong Prince,” he chokes.

No.

“That’s not my evaluation.”

Oh my God.

“It’s my son’s.”

I’m running for the door before I can blink.

“Noel!”

I hear him scrambling, and then the sound of his footsteps racing after mine as I charge through my home.

“Noel! Please! I’m begging you, don’t hurt my son—”

His hand lands on my shoulder. I roar, whirling on him, grabbing him by the collar and slamming him against the wall.

“Yoursonis currently alone withElla.”

His face goes white.

“Oh God…”

I let him drop, whirling as I thunder out the door.
