Since that dayat Holland and Reed’s house, I’ve been avoiding Graham. Well, avoiding being alone with him. Since that’s when I apparently become a weak-ass bitch, nothing like myself, and end up below or above him.

He’s been relentless, texting me about his day and how he misses being between my legs. Making it nearly impossible to go back to how it was before. Before G-day is what we’ll call it. It’s been two months since we’ve been alone, but tonight, I can’t avoid him any longer. I’ve been throwing myself into work, doing anything and everything not to think about him since I’m desperately trying to purge him from my body and mind.

It’s Liam and Juliet’s anniversary party, and if I don’t show up, Juliet will be heartbroken. So, that means that I’ll have to spend at least a few hours in the same room as him, and my willpower is a fickle bitch when he’s involved.

I’m trying. I haven’t responded to his texts, even when he sent me a picture from the shower that was NSFW, featuring so many abs I lost count, along with that oblique muscle that I want to run my tongue along. I’m a reformed addict, and the first step is to leave the thing you're addicted to alone.

I’ve been sitting in my car for the past fifteen minutes, pep-talking myself and trying to devise a game plan that keeps me far, far away. Pulling my visor down, I check my lip gloss once more in the mirror, grab my clutch from the passenger seat, then get out.

While I knew that I would be staying away from Graham, that didn’t mean that I couldn’t make his mouth water from across the room tonight. The little black dress I’m wearing is cut low, yet still classy, and hugs each dip and curve of my body like it was made for me. It took an entire day of trying on at least fifty different dresses, but I finally found the perfect dress and I have no doubt the moment he lays eyes on me, he’s going to lose it.

I know what he likes, and this… this dress was made to be devoured by him. Paired with a pair of my tallest Louboutins, which make my legs look fucking amazing, and I’m wearing the brightest red lipstick I have.

I walk to the front, and through the doors of the building that they’ve rented for tonight and walk inside. The entire building is decked out in tasteful gold and blush, and it looks like another wedding.

Leave it to Liam to go all out for his wife. My eyes canvas the room, and I find the happy couple dancing to the slow, reverbed beat in the center of the room, along with Briggs and Maddison, and their daughter. Across the room, I see Reed and Holland, laughing at whatever Hudson is saying.

“Looking for me?” A low, velvet voice purrs in my ear, and I don’t need to even turn to know who the voice belongs to.

“And why would I be doing that?”

Hot breath fans out against the back of my neck, causing me to shiver. “I hope you know that I’m going to tear that dress off of you the second I get you alone, Davidson. So goddamn hot. You’re lucky we're surrounded by people or I’d already have it on the floor.”

His words hold promise, but I’m saying strong. I step forward and turn around, crossing my arms over my chest. “I told you we’re done, Graham, have fun tonight though.”

Spinning on my heel, I leave him standing there and march toward Reed and Holland. My restraint is shaky at best, and right now, I have to put distance between us.

“Hey sis,” Reed says, pulling me in for a hug. He’s in a tux with a red tie that matches the same hue of Holland’s deep red dress. It looks amazing on her.

“Hey guys.” I say, taking a flute of champagne as the waiter passes by with a tray. Tonight, I’m going to need all the liquid courage I can get.

“You look so hot bitch!” Holland squeals, taking my hand.

“Uh, says you… you look like a movie star,” I tell her, twisting my hand around one of her curls.

“Gonna go grab me a beer, babe, you want anything?” Reed asks her.

She shakes her head no, offering a small smile. “Thank you.”

Once he’s gone, she leans closer. “So, I have to tell you something.”

“Okay, spill.” Bringing the flute to my lips, I drain the last of the champagne in one long sip and set it on the table next to her.

“I’m pregnant.”

I all but swallow my tongue. “What?”

Her eyes light up and she nods. “I just found out before we got here. I’m having ababy, Em.”

Tears well in my eyes and I pull her to me, giving her a hug. When I pull back, the tears in my eyes match her own. “Oh God, Holl, I’m so happy for you and Reed. You both deserve this so much. Evan is going to be such a great big brother!”

She lets out a watery laugh. “We told him tonight before we left him with the sitter. He said that he’s going to give one of his toys to the new baby, and I cried. I can’t stop crying!” She reaches up and dries the tears from her eyes and shakes her head.

My heart squeezes.

Seeing my brother and my best friend become parents to Evan was one of the best experiences of my life, and now I get to see Holl pregnant.
