She looked up at him still sniffling. “Is that a nice way of saying I look like shit?”
He laughed and those beautiful dimples made her smile in spite of her tears. “I wouldneversay that.”
“But you’d think it?” she squeaked. Good, God! Could she stop being so emotional already? If her lies hadn’t chased him away yet, her hormonal ass would.
He glanced down at her again with a pained smile. “Mamas, I wouldnevereven think it.”Hiseyes welling up, had her straightening out suddenly, and digging deep to be the strong one. Because as much sincere vulnerability as he was showing, she didn’t like to see him hurt. Especially when it was her that caused that pain. “You’re the most beautiful thing that’s ever happened to me and for a minute there, I was so fucking scared that my proud ass would never get past this, and I’d lost you forever.” His brows pinched now too, but he managed to smile as she held him even tighter then felt his hand slide down again and touch her belly. “Half you, half me. From here on we’re united forever, and I’ll kick your ass for lying before I let you go.” He smirked despite his still red rimmed welled up eyes. Xochitl couldn’t help smirk at that last comment. “I think your dad would kickyourass if he ever even heard yousaythat.” Lex chuckled immediately nodding in agreement. “Yeah, he would.Big time.” He buried his face in her neck. “But it’d take something completely unforgivable for me to walk away when there’s gonna be two of you now that I won’t be able to live without.” He pulled back to look her in the eyes. “This isn’t fair, you know?”
“What isn’t fair?”
“I’ve been fucking miserable for weeks.” He shook his head even as she wiped tears away from the corner of his eyes. “My schedule’s been so crazy that I can barely stay awake past seven, and even then, I couldn’t get you out of my head. On top of all that, you’re making me a daddy now and I’m happier than ever? You can’t have that much power over me, Etzli.”
She smiled holding his face in her hands. “Just be glad, that because of my obsessiveness and your pride we can appreciate how close to losing what we should be so grateful for having, but we didn’t. There are so many that go their whole lives never experiencing it. A profound love, I honestly had begun to think I’d never find. Then I did and came close to blowing it.”
“Way Too Close,” he said kissing her deeply then pulled away. “Way toofuckingclose. Never again.” Pulling her by her hand, he started toward the bedroom. “We’ll get back to my big fat Moreno Thanksgiving, where my family and grandparents will get the news of their first grandbaby andgreatgrandbaby on the way, soon enough. But first I need a littledistraction.”
The thought of having to face his enormous family with this news hadn’t even crossed her mind. Xochitl had already accepted she’d be raising this baby on her own, because she refused to ruin his life. Especially when she was convinced, he hated her and would never forgive her. But all those thoughts went out the door as soon as Lex laid her on the bed, pulled her shorts and panties off, then fell to his knees with a groan and spread her legs. His tongue sliding up her slit had her back arching and moaning. “Oh myGod.”
Lex paused for a moment, and she heard him chuckle. “I love you, baby.”
With her stupid hormonal issues, coupled with all the other euphoric emotions she was now feeling, she could barely speak between her panting. But she’d since decided she needed to make something clear, since she knew what Lex thought about her relationship with her childhood sweetheart and he wassowrong. “You’re the love of my life.”
She almost regretted saying it when the flapping of his tongue that nearly had her screaming his name, ceased, and left her back arching, ass in the air, and silently pleading for more.
“I am?” He crawled up her body and she reached her arms out because she could already hear the emotion in those two words and her stupid hormones had her choking up again.
“Youare,” she said when his flooding eyes met hers. “You really are. I’veneverbeen so in love, and I know I’ll never be with anyone else like I am with you.”
“You know I always thought if I accidently got someone knocked up, I’d be dreading telling my parents.” His brows pinched again. “I can hardly wait to tell them. And as much shit as I talked about Vannah getting married so young, you know we’re getting married, right? I’m yours forever, and I fucking own you for good, so we might as well make this right by my grandparents’ standards. Why piss anyone off when it’s what we want anyway, right?”
She reached up and cradled that face she’d been so heartbroken about thinking she’d never be able to again. “You’ve surpassed all my expectations from when I debated way back on whether or not falling for you was a good idea. I was so worried, and now I can’t wait to tell everyone either.”
He kissed her deeply then looked up and smiled. “So, let’s finish this because I could tell you were already close, and then we’ll get going.” Sliding down her body and legs, Lex stopped and sucked with conviction along thewholeway down, and each time Xochitl knew she’d be marked up the entire way. But she didn’t even care, it felt so damn good as she slithered and trembled beneath his hard body. Until he got down to the one spot that had her withering and moaning until she let out the release, she didn’t even know she needed,sobad. Her entire body quivered in bliss, thanking her for not complaining about all the hickeys she knew her entire body was riddled with now. What did it matter at this point? Crying out unabashed, in both delight and relief, for the first ever, she shed tears of what she’d never t even know was a thing until Lex—tears ofunbelievablepleasure.
“All yours baby,” she gasped as her body continued to spasm in ecstasy.
“Damn straight this is all mine,” he said as he kissed her deeply, squeezing her ass cheek with his hand. Feeling the erection against her pelvis, she knew it’d be a little longer before they got going to that Thanksgiving Moreno announcement.
Bringing her arms around his neck, she was overwhelmed with the stupid emotion. The reminder of just how much her life was about to change, hit her again, but in a good way for the first time. “I love you so much,” she said settling in underneath him and spreading for him.
Smiling big, he positioned himself, then drove deep into her with a groan. “I love you too, mamas.”
