“I’m in love with you,” I murmur, and her smile widens. “I’m in awe of you. You’re so strong, sweetheart. So incredible. And I’ll do whatever I can to be worthy of you.”
Our connection flares to life as pleasure seeps into my veins.
Adrenaline pumps through me, my heart racing, as she tilts her head and gives me a lopsided grin.
“I love you too,” she laughs, before kissing me. “Is that what you were nervous about? I could feel your anxiety from all the way from the other room.”
I huff out a laugh. “It’s nerve wracking. You’re incredibly easy to love, but impossible to be worthy of.”
Her scent sweetens, the warmth of spun sugar mixed with blossoms, and I hold her close, whispering words of love into her ear.
