Hands moved to undo the clasp that kept my arms immobile. A clasp around the hood was undone, then the suit fell away from my body. The first thing I noticed was the cool air against my skin. I shifted uncomfortably on my heels. A hand reached up to pull the gag from my mouth. As soon as it moved, I started to speak, to yell, but then it was shoved back into my mouth, so I stopped. I’d be quiet as a church mouse if they would just remove the gag. I stood as still as I possibly could to let them know I was ready for the gag to be removed. Whoever it was stepped even closer to me. I could feel the heat from his body.
He was still for a minute, then once again the gag was removed, I sucked a deep breath into my lungs and noticed the scent. Not the ocean. Not the filth of the trunk of a car. But a crisp, clean, manly scent. A woodsy, citrusy scent.
He stepped around behind me. His hands fumbled on the ties that bound my hands behind my back.
The scent overwhelmed me, reaching around me, pulling me into not caring that I was still trussed up like a turkey ready for the oven.
“Oh, God,” I cried softly as the smell of him wrapped around me. The ties were tangled, and he struggled to undo them.
“Hurry.”
Tears started to well up again. It couldn’t be. This wasn’t real. How could he be here?
He tugged unsuccessfully on the ties again.
“Fuck it,” he growled, spinning me around. I lost my balance and fell against him.
Dante’s mouth crashed into mine. His mouth, strong and hard. I opened my mouth at his urging, and he devoured me. I couldn’t reach him, couldn’t touch him with anything but the length of my body, so I pushed against him, rubbing over his body. He groaned, tightening his grip and pushing his hips against mine, grinding his rock-hard cock against me.
“Blindfold,” I gasped between desperate kisses. “I want to see you.”
He never broke contact with me but reached up and pulled the blind fold over my head in one quick movement. “Dante,” I moaned into his mouth.
“Right here,bambina. I’m right here.”
The blindfold fell away, and dark eyes stared down at me, moving over my face repeatedly before his eyes came back to mine.
Dante was breathing as heavily as I was. “Did they hurt you?”
“No, I’m not hurt, but... did you kidnap me?”
“No. Here. Let me cut these ropes. Sons-of-bitches. They didn’t have to make it this convincing.”
Dante pulled a knife out of his pocket and easily sliced through the bindings on my legs.
“I don’t understand. What happened? You did kidnap me!” I accused. “You could have just come to the house and not scared the hell out of me. As soon as you untie my hands, I’m going to—”
I didn’t get any further.
“Shut the fuck up, Noemi,” Dante growled as his mouth claimed mine again. I didn’t care if he’d kidnapped me as long as he kept kissing me. The pressure of his mouth was divine, awakening a body that had slowly started to die without his presence. Desire breathed life back into me.
“My arms,” I whispered frantically as his mouth traveled across my face. “I want to hold you. Untie my arms.”
“Are you going to hit me?” he growled.
“I will if you don’t untie my arms,” I growled back.
The warmth of his laughter was a sound I’d remember for the rest of my life.
“I fucking missed you, baby girl,” he said, cocking his head to the side, “but... I don’t know. Maybe I’ll leave the ties on for a while.”
“Please? My arms already hurt, and I want to hold you.”
He didn’t say anything but studied me for a second before walking behind me and cutting through the ties. His hands replaced the rope. Slowly, he massaged my wrists as my hands fell to my sides. His fingers worked my muscles, moving up my arms to knead my shoulders. One arm snaked around my chest and pulled me back against him as the other splayed across my stomach.
“I’m sorry. This was Gabriel’s idea. I didn’t even know about it until this morning. He sent a text. Told me what time to expect you. Are you sure you’re not hurt?”
“I’m fine. Your brother and I... I know Gabriel was taking care of me for you, but we’re going to have words someday.”
