Elliot suddenly appeared in my field of vision, blocking my view. Swallowing the sound of annoyance that tried to make its way from my throat, I gave him a tight smile.

“Alright.”

He cocked his head, studying me for a second before a smile appeared on his face that I could only describe as sly, and I didn’t like it. “Have you seen JJ?”

“Yeah, he’s over there.” I indicated in JJ’s direction without bothering to look, craning my neck to see around Elliot’s head, my gaze scanning the crowd again.

“Hmmm. I wouldn’t have thought Noah was his type, but now I see them together…”

The rest of his words were lost by the roaring of blood in my ears as a sudden sense of déjà vu hit me. I jerked my body around to face JJ.

Who was definitely, 100 percent, flirting with Noah. And Noah was smiling at him, one of those wide, genuine smiles. My smiles.

Like fuck was JJ, with his athletic dancer’s body, his casual use of make-up and glitter that somehow only enhanced his striking looks, and his bright, easy-going personality, getting his hands on Noah.

This was a hundred times worse than the day at the gallery when I’d seen Noah talking to that guy. This was JJ, in full-on flirt mode, directing it all at Noah, and Noah…he lookedhappy.

Jealousy and hurt raged through me, burning under my skin.

Noah wasmine.

As I watched, frozen in place, JJ lifted his hand and placed it on Noah’s arm.

That was fucking it.

I pushed past Elliot, storming over to JJ and Noah, and ripped JJ’s hand from Noah’s arm. Ignoring his sound of outrage and JJ’s laughter, I grabbed Noah by the wrist and hauled him out of the room.

There was a small corridor that led down to a storage area, and I made my way towards it. Noah didn’t resist, and once I realised that he was staying put, I released my grip on him.

He shot me a savage glare. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

“What the fuck do you thinkyou’redoing?” I gritted my teeth. “JJ?”

“Don’t be such a fucking hypocrite, Liam.” His fists clenched at his sides. “You can’t keep dragging me away from people whenever you feel like it. Would you like it if I did it when you were with girls?”

“There are no girls,” I hissed.

“No? So I imagined that girl that was all over you earlier then?” His voice was low and angry.

Fuck. No. I yanked at my hair. “That wasn’t anything.”

He clamped his teeth down on his lip, clearly holding himself back from saying whatever it was he wanted to reply.

I needed to spell it out to him. After a quick glance around to confirm we were alone, I backed him into the wall and planted my hands on the rough surface on either side of him so he was right where I wanted him. “There are no other girls. I’m not fucking interested, okay? I want you. I want you, and I can’t tell anyone.” It was the closest I’d come to admitting the truth out loud. Yeah, I knew I was acting like a jealous asshole, but seeing him with JJ, when he wasmine…

The anger disappeared from his gaze. He sighed against me, leaning in to run his nose down the side of my face. “I’m not interested in JJ. Not even a bit. He’s not you.” He whispered the final words into my neck, then pressed a kiss to my throat.

I shivered, my cock thickening in my jeans as his body pressed against mine. It felt so fucking perfect, so right. “Good,” I rasped. “There’s no one else I want.”

This time when he looked at me, his eyes were burning. “So now you’ve got me here, what are you going to do with me?” His words came out as challenging, but the shaky exhale against my chest gave him away.

Inclining my head, I put my mouth to his ear, inhaling the citrusy scent of his freshly showered skin.

“I’m going to take you home and make you forget everyone else’s name but mine.”
