“You think?”

“Uh-huh,” she says, her eyes darkening. “Besides, the whole time you were beating the crap out of Colby, I was hoping you’d hit him harder.”

My brow arches, always so surprised by the shit that comes flying out of her mouth. My hands fall to her thighs and slowly move to her hips. “Yeah?”

“Uh-huh,” she says, a smirk pulling at her lips. “As bad as it sounds, I didn’t even care if you broke every bone in your hand and could never play football again. I was prepared to nurse you back to health.”

A soft laugh builds deep in my chest. “Okay, we’re going to come back to your blatant lack of respect for my football career,” I tell her. “But I’m more interested in this whole nursing me back to health thing. What exactly does that entail? Sponge baths? Outfits? Twenty-four-seven, around the clock care? Because there’s this pain right here, high on my inner thigh …”

Bri laughs and shakes her head. “It’ll be gloves, lube, and probing if you’re not careful, and trust me, it’s not me who’ll be getting probed.”

“Okay, okay,” I say, putting my hands up. “I know when to back down.”

“Do you now?” she questions. “Breaking into my bedroom to leave creepy messages on my mirror and making sure I witness some bitch going down on you would suggest otherwise.”

A smirk tears across my face as she holds my stare, and when the moment passes, a seriousness comes over me. “How can I make it up to you?”

She shakes her head, moving in just a little bit closer. “There’s nothing to make up for, I mean, apart from the whole Jules blowjob thing. You knocked out the guy who left your sister for dead. The cops aren’t doing enough, and his lawyer is going to make sure he walks free, so you took it into your own hands, which is exactly what I expected you to do. You don’t need to make up for doing what’s right for your sister.”

“I ruined our night, got plastered, and then broke into your room.”

“You did,” she tells me, “And I’m not going to lie, I liked having you there, and I liked it even more when I got to see the real you. I was more pissed about the fact you slipped out without saying goodbye. Now, that was a low blow.”

“I knew that was going to bite me on the ass,” I mutter.

“Mmmm,” she murmurs, her voice lowering to a deep rasp as her eyes fill with desire, making me uncomfortably hard. “I’d like to bite you on the ass.”

Well, fuck. This girl never fails to surprise me.

“Stay on track, babe. I’m trying to apologize for beating the shit out of your ex.”

She shrugs her shoulders. “Colby deserved it, and honestly, watching you like that, all wild and out of control, it was hot as fuck. I’ve never been so wet,” she says. “But, if you really insist on making it up to me, there is one thing you can do.”

Her eyes light up and my cock twitches in my pants, having a good idea what she’s about to ask for, and damn it, I’m not one to say no. “Oh yeah?” I ask, watching as her eyes become hooded and she rocks forward on my lap. “And what’s that?”

She grins, biting her bottom lip. “Nah, you know what? I don’t think you can handle it.”

I scoff, my arm curling around her back and pulling her in closer. “There’s nothing I can’t handle when it comes to you.”

“You really want to know?” she questions. “The one thing I want most in this world?”

“Mmhmm.”

“I want Jason Momoa in character of Khal Drogo giving me a strip tease while whispering in my ear in Dothraki. But here’s the kicker,” she says. “He’s gotta be hard, like rock fucking hard, and if you could get him to throw me around a bit … goddamn.”

Okay, so that’s not where I thought this was going.

I stare at her, not understanding a damn word she said, but the thought of some guy throwing her around makes me want to punch something. “What the hell is a Khal Drogo and why do you want to fuck it?”

She laughs, and after a moment, her face begins to fall when she realizes that I’m being serious. “Wait. You really don’t know?”

I shake my head and she stares at me in horror.

“Holy shit. I knew you must have taken a few hits over the years, but I didn’t realize it could get this bad. No wonder you struggle with the basics.” She lets out a heavy sigh. “You’re lucky to have someone like me willing to bring you up to speed.”

I narrow my stare, slowly working it out. “Whatever it is, I’m not watching it.”

“Oh yeah?” she laughs. “How else are you going to make it up to me?”
