“You guys are wild.” Maple grinned at me. “I like your girl.”
“Yeah. I like her too. Gonna marry her.”
“No shit?”
“No shit.” I bent to kiss Chaos. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Her eyes were still glassy. “Did you kill him?”
“Nope.”
She smiled and my heart flipped. I was definitely gonna marry her.
“Good.”
“Good?” I stroked her hair.
“I just want him to get help, not be dead.”
“You’re too good for this world, Chaos.” I pressed another kiss to her forehead.
“If you two won’t go to the hospital, you’re going upstairs. I have a bedroom all set up,” Laverne announced.
“Not the baby room again.” Rachel sighed.
I shook my head. There would be no babies being made tonight. We were safe there.
