“Okay, I give up. So how are you feeling?”
“Better now. Seems I developed a blood clot, and I was in a lot of pain. Turns out my doctor was leaving the hospital when she suddenly felt she should check on me. Had my head scanned right away, and thankfully, they found it. Gave me some super-duper blood thinners.”
“She just suddenly felt she should check up on you?”
Logan smiled. “Yep.”
The door swung open, and a nurse looked in on them. “It’s getting a little late, and Agent Hart needs to rest.”
“I hear you,” Jeff said. He reached over and patted Logan’s shoulder. “You get some sleep. I’ll let you know if I hear anything new.”
“Thanks.”
Jeff walked toward the nurse, who was holding the door open for him. “You take care of that man,” Jeff said. “He’s pretty special.”
Something Jeff said suddenly popped into Logan’s mind. “Hey, Jeff?” he called.
Jeff stuck his head back into the room. “Yeah?”
“Probably not important, but you said Thomas Tedder was called something else. What was it?”
“I guess his middle name was Andrew. They called him Andy.”
