“I don’t care. Get him now. It’s important!” I snap at her, cutting off whatever else she was about to say.
“Uh, okay. Let me just take you into his office and he’ll be right with you,” she stammers as she gets out of her seat.
“Great!” I drawl as she takes me into his office. I take a seat and a few minutes later, the flushed-face doctor comes rushing into his office.
“Hello, Mr. King. What can I do for you?” he asks as he takes a seat behind his desk.
“My girl Winter should be coming in here soon for her appointment. I’m assuming she’s coming to get her birth control shot so I want you to replace it with a placebo injection,” I say, getting straight to the point.
“Tha-that’s against policy, Mr. King. We’re not supposed to do things like that,” he says. Like I give a shit about any of that.
“Don’t forget who owns this town, Andrews. I could get you fired, and you won’t be able to ever find another job again if I have my way. But if you do what I want, then you’ll be paid generously for your work. You wouldn’t want someone to give your wife information on your extracurricular activities now, would you?” I ask and let the threat hang in the air.
He won’t deny me because he has a wife and a new kid at home even though he’s been fucking around on them. But that’s not my business, you know.
“Very well,” he says in a resigned tone. He knows exactly what’s at stake if he doesn’t do what I want. I get up to leave.
“Glad you could see things my way. Expect the money in your bank account in the morning,” I tell him before walking away.
My girl is not going to know what the fuck hit her. Sometime between the last two days and today, I made up my mind to keep her, and that means binding her to me forever. I move my car to a spot where she won’t see me as I wait for her to get to her appointment. My plans are definitely coming along nicely.
The only thing bugging me is that dinner date she has with that fucker tonight, but no worries because I intend on crashing it either way. I push my seat back and watch as she finally arrives and walks into the office.
I’m not worried because I know her doctor will do what I ordered him to if he doesn’t want his life and career to fall apart. I’m not above ruining people just to get my way.
