After eating, Coop plopped down on his leather recliner, which was parked in front of a 50-inch plasma television with the latest satellite technology that 2006 had to offer. It was the ultimate bachelor pad. In addition to the recliner and television, the den was furnished with a slate pool table, full-service wet bar, matching leather sofas, and three full-sized arcade games.

The kitchen was the size of a studio apartment and was equipped with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. Possessing a knack for cooking, he actually used the kitchen in a way that would make Emeril proud, except for the fact that he only cooked for one. He would get groceries delivered twice a week, and would often try to duplicate a recipe from one of the many celebrity chefs that he enjoyed watching.

The living room was obviously decorated for show, just in case he built up the strength to have a visitor come by. However, it had not been used by anyone yet, even him. Ironically, the penthouse also had a wonderful guest bedroom.

The exercise room was state-of-the-art by all means imaginable but had been used sparingly over the last few months. The lack of use was beginning to show in his gut for the first time in his life.

The master bedroom was elegant, yet masculine. It had solid oak dressers and cabinets, a huge walk-in closet, and a plush king-sized bed. With the push of a button, another flat-screen television would appear from the wall and the blinds would close.

Each of the three bathrooms had a marble foundation, but the bathroom off of the master bedroom was the most magnificent. A large standing shower graced the far corner, while an enormous Jacuzzi sat next to a window that overlooked the city's shoreline. Lake Erie, though historically the butt of jokes, could look quite majestic on a sunny day.
