I chuckled. “That’s what I thought of when I got nervous. If you were open to it, then a group of yogis should be easy.”

He rested his hand on my upper arm. “You’ve got this. I’m proud of you.”

My eyes blinked at that. Proud of me? I knew my adoptive parents were when I graduated from college and opened the store, but coming from him, it was different. I felt like there was a balloon expanding in my chest, pressing on my walls, threatening to burst.

“I’ve got to get back to work, but never doubt that you’re amazing. You put this event together.” He gestured around at the tents and crowd.

“I had your help.”

He rested a finger on my lips. “This was your vision. I just helped bring it to reality. Enjoy everything that’s coming your way.”

Anticipation flowed through me.

He kissed me once on the lips before walking away.

I breathed into my stomach where butterflies were fluttering. I felt like I was floating on air as I headed to the main entrance tent.

None of this would be here if it weren’t for my idea. Even though it started out as a way to get together as shop owners, it became so much more. I was excited about the future.
