Bella turns her soft blue eyes on the woman and the woman sighs, breaking her hard shell and nodding her head.

“I’m sure he is.” The woman agrees, then turns around to walk toward the game floor.

BELLA

Since I began working for Grant, I must admit I’ve been so settled here; I feel more like his friend than an employee if I’m being honest. I look up to him. It feels as if we share a bond. He takes care of me far more than I could’ve expected when he first hired me on.

I’ve never had a father figure in my life before. He comforts me in hard times, and when a customer happens to get a little out of hand, he’s there to protect me, like I’m his little girl…

I’m twenty-two, and before the casino I bounced from place to place, living without a means. But since I landed this casino gig, all has been well. In fact, I now rent rooms each night in the casino and still tend to have enough money left over to spare after such expense. I’m looking forward to getting my apartment once I save just a few more checks here.

Sometimes, when I find myself low on cash, Grant will pay for my room. He even suggests what dress would be best worn for work, and if he thinks a piece of clothing is too revealing on me, he’ll place his coat jacket around my shoulders, just to safeguard my image.

He keeps me safe.

“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get a room tonight. It seems like we may have a full house,” I tell him, feeling a bit lost knowing we can’t just switch people around or cancel any reservations; that would mean missing out on money, which Grant doesn’t strike me as the guy that would make a move to do something like that.

“It appears so. I checked a little earlier this evening and noticed we were booked up. I had hoped to save you a room, but circumstances clearly prevented me from doing so. How about you stay with me for the night?” He asks, letting me know he has no intentions of leaving me to look for a sleazy hotel room here in Vegas if he could help it.

I can’t help but blush. The thought of being alone with him brings a rush of heat between my legs. Ugh, this man. I’ve seen the way he looks at me for months now, and I know he’s caught me looking back a time or two.

“You could always go back and ask that one guy to be your daddy for the night, that’s if he has a spare room for you.” Grant mouths, smirking in amusement.

I roll my eyes at his comment. Yeah, that’ll be the last thing I’ll be doing tonight.

“Here, take my room key; I will be right up.” He assures me.

Taking the key card from out of his slacks, he then grabs my hand and places it in my palm. As I look down, I notice the lining of his cock popping through his pants.

I wonder how long he’s been excited; I’m not about to point it out, though. It could merely be due to the money coming in for the business tonight, or simply the woman that had been flirting with him earlier, and honestly, she was gorgeous.

“I appreciate what you do for me, Grant. Thank you, really, thank you. I know you don’t have to do all of this.”

I go to kiss him on the cheek as I hold the key and pull back to find a soft smile on him.

As I turn around, I head back into the casino to get to the elevators. It takes a little bit of ‘excuse me’s’ and bumping into people left and right, but I finally make way after what seems for far too long.

As I get to the elevator, I see a man standing in front of the doors. It seems as if he’s waiting for an elevator as well. He grins at me as he blatantly looks me up and down.

I give him a polite smile, nothing more back.

“Tonight has been a long one, huh?” He asks, his eyes lingering down on my chest.

I nod my head in agreement as I’m unsure how to answer that… like sure, it’s been a long one tonight but we both know that’s not what you’re interested in, buddy.

I’ve never had to wait this long for an elevator before and I don’t necessarily enjoy the way he’s staring at me right now; it’s as if he wants to devour me.

I pretend I don’t see him gawking at me the way he is, but I do, and I feel uncomfortable. It’s the same way Grant looks at me, only in Grant’s case, it’s different. I see a silent father figure in Grant. I know he would never do anything to harm me.

I’m not enjoying this feeling washing over me right now. I tap my foot, wondering when the hell these doors are going to open.

“I should’ve stayed at work tonight,” I mutter to myself.

“You work in the casino?” He asks, quick to respond to a comment not intended for him.

I shouldn’t have even said a word…
