“Yup. The last thing I need is more drama.”

They all nod.

Hunter rubs a hand along his jaw. “Sooooo, are we going to talk about the fact you’ll be a dad this year or what?”

One corner of my mouth lifts. I can’t help it. Despite everything happening, I still smile at the thought of having a baby. “I met Harper on New Year’s at a bar in New York. She found me a few weeks later to tell me she’s pregnant. We spent time together while she was visiting and have been talking everyday ever since. I flew out on Thursday to go to the first trimester screening with her, and that’s pretty much it.”

“How did the appointment go?” Noah is his usual calm, which is slightly comical next to Hunter and Jace’s bewilderment.

“Good. The baby looks healthy.”

Noah nods. “That’s great news.”

“It is.”

Hunter falls back against the cushions. “I can’t believe we’re going to have a baby around soon.”

I chuckle. “You’re the one with all the babies in the family.”

He shrugs. “Yeah, but those are my sisters’ kids and not yours. It’s different.”

I think about that for a moment and wonder if he’s right about that. I don’t have a similar situation to compare it to, but it definitely would be stranger if one of the guys became a dad now, especially since they’re all single. Exactly like I was.

But not anymore, because Harper is mine.

With my focus back on what needs to be done next, I take in the room, flinching when I see the broken glass everywhere. Ah shit, man. I really lost it there for a moment.

I sigh and walk to the hallway closet to get the broom.

Noah stops me halfway. “We’ve got this. Go see Coach Martin.”

“Yeah.” Jace gets up, followed by Hunter. “Don’t worry about anything else. We’ll stay here and take care of the mess and Zane.”

I stare at my friends, the guys I can always rely on. Gratitude fills me, and I blink a few times. “Thanks, guys.”

“Always.” Hunter walks over and turns me around to push me toward the hallway. “No more stalling. Get going. We’ve got this.”

I thank them again, and after checking on Zane—who’s passed out—I head toward the garage.

Once I’m in the car, I know there’s something else I need to do before I see Coach.
