I laugh as heat floods me at the possibility of doing exactly what he just said. “I think we might be able to arrange something.”
“I was really hoping you’d say something like that.”
I poke him in the chest. “I’m sure you were.”
He catches my hand and tsks me. “Are you trying to be naughty, Harper?”
“It depends. What do you do to naughty girls?” I get up on my toes to get closer.
He kisses my nose. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
I huff and grin, a burst of energy rushing through my whole being. I haven’t felt this alive in so long. “You’re such a tease.”
“And you love it.”
I blink up at him and swallow. “I do.”
His lips are on mine a second later. This kiss is so soft and gentle that it’s almost overwhelming. It also feels foreign in the way it touches a part of me inside that I’m not sure has ever been touched before.
Ryan pulls back and intertwines our fingers. “Come on, let’s go and see our baby.”
The magnitude of this situation slams into me once more, and I’m incapable of talking so I nod.
With my heart on the speed track, we make our way inside the building.
