“I tried, sir.”

“It was a well-thought-out attempt. I’m proud of you.” Sloan released his hold and caressed Conall’s cheek gently. “But next time you mention Forrest and your past, I’ll put you over my knee and spank you so hard you won’t be able to walk for a week. Am I clear?”

Conall grinned, bouncing on his toes slightly before he realized what he was doing. He straightened. “Yes, sir. Because I definitely wouldn’t want that.”

Sloan smirked.

A knock sounded through the room, and Conall sighed when the door opened and Ronan stepped in. He bowed his head slightly, unfazed by Sloan’s nakedness. The men had all seen Sloan and Conall naked plenty of times.

“Ronan.”

“Sir, our guest has arrived. He’s waiting in your office.”

“Thank you.”

Ronan gave a final inclination of his head before he was out the door again, closing it behind himself.

Sloan tapped Conall on the nose. “Are you sure you want to take this bet, pet? I fear you will lose and end up on your hands and knees for me.”

Conall cocked his head with a wicked smile. “But, is that really losing?”

Sloan laughed and shifted around him. He moved to the connected bathroom. As tempted as Conall was to follow him, it would become more of a temptation for him than Sloan, and he was just getting started for the day. He’d have Sloan begging to fuck him.

Mind made up, Conall strode to the door and opened it. Ronan was waiting outside, his suit impeccable as usual and his blond hair brushed and styled neatly. He was facing forward, shoulders stiff and back straight.

“Good morning, Ronan,” Conall said joyfully.

He glanced at Conall out of the corners of his eyes and nodded sharply. “Sir.”

“Is that all I get?” He stepped closer to him. “Not even a good morning?”

Ronan’s mouth twitched. “You’re in a good mood this morning, sir.”

“I have a bet going with Sloan. I said he can’t last a day without fucking me, and he said he can.”

“And what happens when either of you win?”

“Well, if I win I get a Lamborghini Veneno in the Nero Nemesis color.”

Eyes wide, Ronan turned his head fully to look at Conall. “They’re expensive, sir, and difficult to get.”

Conall nodded. “I’m sure the boss could do it for me.”

“And if he wins?”

His cheeks burned and he laughed. “I… have to follow him around on my hands and knees, on a leash like a real pet, with a buttplug in.”

Ronan coughed behind his hand. “That doesn’t sound much like a punishment for you.”

“Shh, don’t let him hear you say that.” He nudged Ronan’s arm. “Either way, I’m a winner, yeah?”

“If you say so, sir.” Ronan turned to stare at the opposite wall and straightened again, a position that Conall often called his bodyguard look. It meant that the friendly conversation they were having was done, which was a pity because Conall liked those sorts of chats. Ronan took his job seriously, though, especially after being caught warning Conall to leave when Sloan had first taken him as his.

“Who do you think will win?” Conall tried, but Ronan’s grunt told him that he wasn’t going there. Sighing, Conall waved his hand. “Fine, be like that. I’m heading down to the office. Tell Sloan I’ll meet him there.”

“Sir, you know I have to come with you,” Ronan said seriously, dark blond eyebrows furrowing. “While the men in the office are friends, you cannot go into that room alone.”

“There are other soldiers in there, right? I can take care of myself.” Conall spun on his heel and started walking away when Ronan stepped in front of him, blocking his way.
