But he didn’t go off with the other chick. He walked back over to us and had key cards in his hands. He handed them out and I frowned. Of course, he was going to take the room next to hers. He probably didn’t even have a fucking room. “Why do you get to decide who gets what room?”

He chuckled a little, looked at me like I was the one with the nerve to ask, then shook his head. “Well, I gave them out randomly, so I’m not even sure which one is which. But I am paying, so I should have the room I want.”

“Silk sheets, satin pillows?” I pushed closer to stand next to him. I outweighed him by a few pounds, was taller by a few inches. And I wanted him as aware of it as I was that his bank account had six more zeroes than mine.

The smarmy prick smirked. “You probably don’t know this, but silk sheets are a bitch to sleep on.”

“I wouldn’t know that?” My blood was on fire with the need to pound this prick to a pulp. “Why the fuck wouldn’t I know it? Rich bastards like you aren’t the only ones who’ve slept with a woman on silk sheets.” I gave him a shove.

He pushed me back, and then before he got his royal ass kicked in a lobby full of people, the security servant stepped in. He pushed his employer back and away from me, then stood in front of him.

“Get out of the way.” I wasn’t about to let this guy—prince—treat me like a pauper.

“Maybe you should all go to your rooms and cool off. Maybe have a nice, calming nap,” security guy said.

I didn’t like this jerk’s attitude either.

I scoffed because I didn’t need to be told by anyone that I’d missed my little nap. But fuck, that guy had a very well-defined chest. I didn’t normally notice those things, but his shirt was tight, and that made it obvious. His shoulders were broad and his pecs were a little too defined.

I wasn’t a slouch in the workout department, but this dude probably could’ve given me a run for my money. He was a walking contradiction. Being so buff, but dressed like a department store mannequin. He was pretty and gelled and moussed and coiffed.

But right now, I didn’t give a damn. Mr. Muscles was standing between me and the prince’s ass kicking—an ass kicking he had coming, and would undoubtedly happen at some point before the week was up.

Prince Pretty Boy nodded toward a waiting bellman. “Shall we?”

Erin grabbed my arm, pulling my attention down to her. “Yes. Can we go see our rooms?”

She left the question hanging as though I was the only thing standing between her and the vacation of her dreams.

I nodded and managed to curb my anger enough to follow along with the plan.

The bellman led us to a bungalow block. It was four separate sleeping rooms with locked doors on each side and stairs that led a common area below, a private deck and an infinity pool. I could sure as hell get used to this life of luxury.

I should’ve taken that moment to thank the prince, but it was going to have to wait until I cooled off, until I didn’t want to whoop his ass anymore.

Swankwasn’t just a word. It was a lifestyle and for the next seven days, I was living it.

ERIN

This was so not the way I wanted to spend the next three weeks of my life. Dodging conflict left and right. It would ruin our ability to have fun together.

I glanced at Ray, who smiled and slung an arm around my shoulders, pulling me in to his rock-hard side. “You’ve started quite the pissing contest, young lady.”

Like I didn’t know. “Yeah.”

He laughed, then dropped his voice to a whisper. “If I wasn’t gay, I would date you myself and let all the children sulk in their playpens. But you, my sweet, are going to have to work this one out without me.” His smile was smug as hell.

Gay, huh? That explains the hot body and awesome clothes.

I couldn’t help but smile back because he was right. He was the kind of guy who was always right, but it was easy for him when he didn’t have skin in the game.

“Now’s as good a time as any, I suppose.” Better to get it out of the way before it turned into hell week.

He nodded and went to the door of Henryk’s suite. The prince had disappeared inside as soon as we entered the common area and it took a while after Ray knocked for him to open the door again.

Ray spoke quietly to him and I watched Henryk for a reaction. To his credit, he didn’t roll his eyes or mutter or scoff. Instead, he smiled and nodded at Ray, shut the door behind himself and walked into the generous living area.
