“You’re going to let a few bad attitudes ruin your free vacation?” Her tone was incredulous and it made me calm enough to finally sit down on the bed.

She had a point. But... “There was almost a fist fight.”

“They were fighting over you?” She sounded excited and I was afraid she wasn’t quite grasping the gravity of the situation.

I’d never been the kind of woman who enjoyed conflict. As a matter of fact, conflict made my stomach hurt. “There’s nothing good about it.”

“Unless you really can convince them to mud wrestle.”

I laughed this time. “You’re a one-track record today.”

“And you have no idea how to take advantage of what’s right in front of you.” She laughed. “Have you even kissed any of your husbands?”

“A few minutes ago,” I said.

Bree waited silently, wanting details, all the dirty details. I just knew it.

“It was... incredible.”

“Now, I’m jealous.” She blew out so her lips made the motor sound. “Come on, Erin. Why are you holding out on me?”

“I’m not, it’s just...” I didn’t know how I felt about any of it. “They’re all so...”

So, what? I couldn’t find a word excepthostilewhich wasn’t really fair, because Silas and Viktor weren’t hostile to one another. I laid back on the bed and looked up at the ceiling.

“Oh, come on.”

“They’re all so... virile.” Oh, yeah. They were definitely that. “And handsome. And built. How am I supposed to resist all of that? Even if they hate each other, they don’t hate me and maybe, if I stick it out, I can bring them around. Or maybe I’m just being full of myself.”

“Of course, you can bring them around.” She laughed. “For goodness’ sake, Erin. You’re in Ibiza with three hot guys. Doesn’t matter how you got there. It was fate or some weird destiny thing. Something right out of a movie plot.”

Oh, yeah. Definitely a little bit Lifetime movie weird.

“Is there a point?” I hoped so. I needed a point to hang onto.

“Of course, there’s a point.” She chuckled. “I always have a point.”

It just took a lot longer to get to it than I appreciated. But since we were talking about me, this time I understood the frustration that generally resulted when someone who didn’t know her very well got bogged down in her pauses and long breaths.

“Bree?”

“Oh, yeah. My point is that fate got you to Europe in this wonderful and slightly weird way. You can’t thumb your nose at fate. She obviously wants you on this trip.”

Oh. That was the point.

“I know.” And I’d thought that, too. “But this is a lot of drama. And boy drama is a lot worse than girl drama.” It was a simple truth and one I would’ve thought she knew. “Girl drama is all dirty looks and snide comments. Boy drama is all that, plus chest beating and dick measuring, fists flying—”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up. Anybody grabs a tape measure and you don’t video that for me, our friendship is over.” She cackled hard this time.

I could help but laugh because she was acting like she didn’t already have a parade of hot men walking through her house on their morning after walks of shame.

“Fine. If there’s a tape measure—”

“Or ruler.” She wasn’t going to let this go.

“Or ruler—”

“Or yardstick.”
