It wasimpossible to want to leave when Draven had found everything he’d ever wanted tucked away in that pocket realm.

He was still learning what it meant to be both wolf and vampire for more than one day a month; but he felt more like himself than he had in a very long time. Maybe ever.

They’d fallen into a happy routine. He’d wake Flora up with his fingers, his cock, or his personal favorite, his tongue. And it always ended with his knot nestled snugly in her tight pussy until his head spun with every last swell of his cock, keeping his seed deep within her.

Pups would be inevitable. When they were ready of course, but as soon as they were, he planned to keep Flora sated and pregnant for the foreseeable future. She wasn’t on any sort of birth control, so for all he knew she might already be pregnant. But according to her, she’d never had a steady cycle, so the chances weren’t high. Even with his supernatural sperm, as she liked to call it.

After he made sure she was well and thoroughly fucked, Draven would hunt for her and make her breakfast, then she’d offer up her vein. Which only made her come alive underneath him and inevitably led to round two. Arguably his favorite round because Flora was usually so riled up that in the heat of the moment she would attempt to claim him herself and deepen the bite marks on his shoulder made by her dull teeth. He gladly wore her scars with pride.

When they finally rolled out from their furs, they’d spend a few hours searching for the moonstone. He mostly did it to appease Flora. The longer they searched the more he believed Callum had been full of shit or at the very least that his intel was bad. There was nothing. No clues. No hints. Nothing that gave him any belief that somewhere in this forever moon realm was the stone his people coveted.

After their pointless search and a light lunch, it was Draven’s favorite part of the day. Training. Flora was greener than green when it came to any sort of combat, but she was determined. The fire in her eyes as she repeatedly fell on her ass was something to behold. He didn’t hold back or go easy on her because the pack wouldn’t either. But Flora always got back up. And despite the fact he always came at her twice as hard, she’d bare her teeth in the cutest angry smile and get set to go again.

By the end of the first week Flora understood the basics of defense, and though she hated every minute of it, by the end of the second week she could run a mile without stopping. She was holding her own, and he couldn’t have been more proud of her.

Every night he would carry her to the hot spring and massage her tired muscles.

A delicious moan escaped her pouty pink lips as he pressed into the tender muscles between her shoulder blades. She liked to chew those lips when she was considering all the ways she might kill him for making her run, and at the end of the day, it left them puffy and decadent.

“Your fingers are magic,” she whimpered, leaning into his touch.

“That’s not the only magic thing about me.”

Flora looked over her shoulders and dramatically rolled her eyes. “That was cheesy, even for you.”

He knew damn well it was a line Mateo would use, but Mateo was playful where Draven was logical. Mateo’s lines were calculated where Draven’s were filthy and filled with honesty. Flora, though, made him want to be cheesy in the kind of way his father was with his mother. With her, it just felt right.

Draven’s mouth pulled into a smirk, and he cocked a brow. “Is it working?”

“Maybe,” Flora said with a flirty shrug of her shoulders.

He let out a wistful sigh and tugged her back against him so her back pressed against his chest. He peppered the skin from her neck to her shoulder with soft kisses. “Forever with you will never be enough.”

“We have to get out of here first, then we can focus on forever.”

Draven stilled. He removed his lips from her skin and leaned away from Flora as if she’d burned him.

Flora looked over her shoulder, her studying gaze piercing through his walls. They’d grown together during their time in the moon realm, to the point that she could read him like a book. In some ways better than his own men. She was his as much as he was hers, and though nothing could change the bond between them, it wouldn’t be the same when they went back. Not like it was there.

In that realm, they were just Flora and Draven. They were the two halves of a whole with nothing to drive a wedge between them. The minute they stepped outside of the full moon, everyone would come for them.

Flora untangled herself from him and turned so she was facing him. “Did I say something wrong?”

His brows knit together, and he looked away from her searching gaze. “What if I’m not ready to go back?”

“What do you mean, Draven?” Her voice was a whisper at first but then grew teeth. “We have to go back.”

“Do we?” He pursed his lips together trying to find the words to make her understand the turmoil that grew within him. “What if I don’t want to leave this realm? What if I’m not ready to share you with our world?”

“Draven. They need us.”

For Flora it was so simple, but she had no idea what waited for them. How his world worked.

She placed a hand on his chest and leaned into his view. “What’s this really about?

“I’m happy here, Okay?” He shrugged her hand off his chest and slid from the rock they shared. “Being here with you is probably the happiest I’ve ever been. I’ve always been my father’s son. The future Alpha. Except for Kade and Mateo, that’s all anyone ever saw me as. Until you. Of course, I dreamed I’d find a mate, but I didn’t think it would happen for me—a hybrid, not even completely a wolf. I don't know why the Goddess blessed me with you, but I’m not going to ask questions. You are everything to me, Flora. You are my heart and my moon. My luna. I don’t need anything else if I have you.”

“But they need you, too. The pack you swore you’d always protect.”
