He nodded. “It helps to make sure that the submissives are being properly taken care of, which is my main goal with this. And this way, it also lets the submissive know that they have a safe place to come back to if things go wrong.”

Oh, this man.

He turned to the desk and grabbed a manila folder off of it, holding it out to me. My eyebrows creased together in confusion. “Open it,” he commanded.

I slowly opened the manila folder and looked down at the stack of contracts sitting there. “I had Mr. Kellam draw up two new contracts – one for the doms and one for the subs. It’s a new contract to be part of this club, and it also legally binds them to not use knife play while being part of this small organization. If they want to do any knife play, they cannot be associated with my club at all.”

“Oh, James,” I whispered, my throat closing up with more tears. “Do you know how many submissives are going to be happy about this?” I asked him as I looked up at him, letting my brown eyes meet his blue ones. “They’re going to be ecstatic, James. This is extremely important to them.”

His lips twitched with a smile, the corners of his lips barely lifting. “I also made some changes about safe words. It was brought to my attention by Gemma that the safe word isn’t always adhered to. This contract will bring legal action against them if a dominant or a submissive refuses to abide by the rules surrounding a safe word.”

A tear slid down my cheek. “You’re really making this place safer,” I whispered.

He nodded and reached forward, brushing the tear off of my cheek. “For you, baby. I’m doing this because of what the fuck this place did to you.”

I covered his hand with mine, flattening it against my cheek. “I love you,” I hoarsely whispered. “I love you so fucking much.”

He flashed me a grin, one that warmed my soul. “Always, little one. I’ll forever cherish those words.” He pulled my lips to his, claiming my mouth with a hot, soul-searing kiss.
