I didn’t even have the words, choosing to keep it simple when I finally answered, “It’s beautiful, Kendall. Are you and Anastasia thinking about moving?
“Actually… I wanna give Anastasia the old spot, and I want this to be our place.”
“Ourplace?” I repeated, the way my eyes instantly went wide making Kendall chuckle as he grabbed my hands and answered, “Yes, Shakira. As in, me and you.”
Me and you.
It sounded so damn beautiful.
And itwouldbe me and him.
But there would also be someone else in the picture, now seeming like as good of a time as ever to finally mention little Snoop to its father when I responded, “You mean, me, you, and our baby?”
In the same way I’d responded earlier, Kendall’s eyes widened as he repeated, “Our baby?”And it took him a second before he was able to straight out ask, “Shakira, you’re pregnant?”
“Surprise,” I told him with a grin that turned into a giggle after he pulled me in for a hug so tight that it lifted me off my feet. And when he eventually put me back down, I could see that his eyes were glossed over with tears that almost had me crying too when I asked, “So is it safe to say you’re happy about this?”
“Happy, excited, grateful, ready;all that,” he rattled off with the biggest smile that showed off the dimples I could only pray our baby would inherit. And they only seemed to grow deeper when Kendall pulled me back against him and asked, “I guess that explains why your ass has been so horny lately, huh?”
“No,you’rethe explanation for why I’ve been so horny lately,” I answered, licking my lips as I told him, “I’d do you right now if I could.” And in what felt like a blink, Kendall had me thrown over his shoulder so that he could carry me towards the front entrance, the way he was moving so quickly making it hard for me not to laugh even as I squealed, “Kendall, I am not about to have sex with you in some random ass house!”
“Who said anything about it being random?” he asked once we’d made it to the door, the question confusing me until I saw him pull out a set of keys. And it was then that I realized I wasn’t the only one with a huge surprise tonight, the dimpled grin on Kendall’s face telling it all when he said, “Welcome home, Shaky.”
